SMEAT exam pattern is such that there are three tests conducted by the institute:

• Test 1: Written Test (Those appeared for UCEED/ CEED and SET and have valid scores or ranks can exempt from the test.)
• Test 2: Studio-based activity test. (All Applicants have to undertake the test)
• Test 3: group/individual counselling session. (All Applicants have to undertake the test)

Candidates who have completed a bachelor's degree or equivalent from foreign universities need to produce a certificate or recognition/ equivalence by the Association of India Universities (AIU), as equivalent to the corresponding Indian degrees, for the purpose of higher studies can apply for MDes course. Yes, Srishti Manipal accepts CEED score for admission to MDes programme. However, it is no mandatory to qualify CEED. Aspirants can appear for SMEAT conducted by Srishti College. Applicants who have taken CEED examination can exempt from Test 1 of SMEAT if their All India Rank is 500 or below provided they are able to submit their result at the time of application.

Srishti Manipal has a moderately difficult admission process. Candidates first need to register for the course of their choice. If they have qualified any of the accepted national-level entrance-exam, they will be exempted from Test -1 of SMEAT. SMEAT is conducted by Srishti College for admission to courses.
