M.A. in Economics - Batch of 2021

Overall, it is the best college for the M.A. in Economics course.
Placements: Almost 95% of students got placed in companies like Crisil, EY-Parthenon, KPMG, etc. The maximum package offered is 12 LPA. About 25-35 students participated in this workshop. Almost 90% of students got internships at big companies. Many roles offered are economic, data analysis, etc.
Infrastructure: Amenities at the hostel feature round-the-clock Wi-Fi. There is a library where students can borrow books whenever they want. A reading room is available as well. It is completely climate-controlled and cozy. Students enjoy reading in that place. Students also have access to indoor sports. There is lawn machinery. The quality is excellent, along with its infrastructure.
Faculty: Every lecturer who has taught me is a PhD holder in their respective fields. They have competencies and are supportive. Each semester contains one major and two minors. However, this year, students will only receive one minor and one major. Students who simply complete tutorials and actively engage in the lectures can easily obtain high ratings. Semester exams are uncomplicated, with a pass rate of over 92%.

Infrastructure, teachers, furniture, and all other facilities are good.
Placements: 2nd year students are eligible for campus placement. Many companies like Tata, Tommy Hilfiger, Super House, and many more visit. 60 to 70% of students are placed through campus placement. First, they take interviews or mock interviews, and then they select you for the post or role you deserve.
Infrastructure: My overall experience in this college was very good. We have several programs conducted by students as well as the college. The campus is very good and safe. We have a huge sports ground where they train you very well, and here we get socially engaged with everyone we meet.
Faculty: Teachers here are very good and interactive with students. They are highly qualified and well-experienced. They support students in every aspect of their life and are very supportive and good-natured. All faculty members are really good speakers and listeners too.

The faculty is so supportive.
Placements: The opportunities provided are great. The students are well qualified to work with big corporate organizations as well as research organizations. Some of the well-known organizations that hire are RMS, The Economics, CHEORS, and RBS. Many also choose to pursue doctoral degrees from various international universities.
Infrastructure: 3 out of 5. But the surrounding environment is very stressful everywhere, with single rooms for each student and well-maintained washrooms and toilets. Mess Hall is available, as is television. We live like family there. There are hostels for Boys and Girls. External Expenses: Rs. 4000–Rs. 7000.
Faculty: The lessons and academic content taught at my college are good. It also covers all important sections for getting a total idea of the relevant subject. It is divided into 4 semesters and at the end of each semester, there will be an exam. Usually, one semester has a length of six months. Each semester consists of four main subjects. Semester exams and tests are a great way to assess what the students have learned with regard to particular subjects. Class size:-59 The course costs INR 31500 per year.

The campus is big enough for students.
Placements: My college had a placement cell that took care of the placement for the students. We had a 100% placement record every year. Companies like NALCO Corporate Office, PPL Corporate Office, Rourkela Steel Plant, SAIL, Bokaro Steel City, OglvyMathur Pvt. Ltd., Reliance Infocom, Tata-TIG Company, SBI-Life, Vinay Construction Company, ODA, Gram Swaraj (NGOs) and many more came to offer jobs and internship programmes.
Infrastructure: Neat and good infrastructure; separate bathrooms for all floors. There are three floors in my hostel. Separate floors for each and every year's students. There are three wardens in my hostel. Ground in front of my hostel. Food is not bad but it's comfortable to eat. External Expenses: Rs. 7000–Rs. 10000.
Faculty: The duration of the course is 2 years, which is divided into 4 semesters and it provides a blend of all the aspects related to micro- and macroeconomics in society. The subjects that are taught during this 2-year period are International Finance and Trade, Public Economics, Introductory Mathematical Economics, Econometric Modules, Industrial Economics, Micro/Macro Economic Theory, etc., and Project Work. This helps the students identify the structural changes that are going on in the market as well as deal with the national security and stability of the economy. Class size:-67 The course costs INR 31500 per year.

The environment of my college was very beautiful.
Placements: The placement and job opportunities were good at our college. There are many MNCs for placing students with good packages, and many well-known companies come to the college for campus placement. The highest package offered in our course is Rs 3,36,000. The average package offered is Rs. 2,16,000.
Infrastructure: There are a lot of students who have opted for a hostel. In fact, our college had only a boys' hostel. I wouldn't have opted for the hostel because it's an old one. Infrastructure is the main thing I didn't like or maybe the food preference. To be honest, the hostel is not for me. I may be wrong because I haven't lived there. External Expenses: Rs. 2000–Rs. 4000
Faculty: Yes, the course was updated and all the faculty members were good and supportive throughout the graduation and post-graduation as well. The teaching quality and the knowledge gained are priceless, and the teachers are available 24x7 to help students and motivate them to come forward in all the activities. Departmental workshops and seminars help students learn about further studies in the subjects. Class size:-45 The course costs INR 36500 per year.
