For B.Sc in chemistry, maths is not a necessary requirement. You can apply via PCB background as well.

In govt. sector, you can prepare for PSC, UPSC, SSC, etc. and in private sector, you can apply for different areas i.e. medical laboratory, biotechnology firms, nursery organization, government college, agriculture research organization, hospital, food institutes, wildlife and fisheries department and public schools.
There is a difference between biotechnology and life science. Life science is related to all fields of biology i.e. botany, zoology, animal physiology, and cells while biotechnology is related to technology in biology i.e. gene manipulation, gene splicing, etc. which are helpful in improving our lives and health.
