Review of B.Sc. (Chemistry, Botany, Microbiology) course at St. Xaviers College, Mapusa.
Placements: 5-10% of students get placed but not directly. In the core domain, they offer jobs mostly in pharma background and that job is not specific to microbiology and anyone can sit for an interview. The minimum salary package is 3 LPA and the maximum package is 5 LPA. Pharma companies visit the college to hire students. 100% of students get internships but without pay.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is not available in my college for students. Only teachers and staff members are allowed to use Wi-Fi. Classrooms are okay. We also have a lift in the college. It has a big ground for sports. The hostel is not available in the college but we get PGs near the colony. PGs are too costly.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified and knowledgeable in their own domain. They are so much helpful. The course curriculum is good according to the syllabus like applied microbiology, medical microbiology, environment microbiology, immunology industrial microbiology, agriculture microbiology, etc. The difficulty level of exams is not that much and it is okay. The pass percentage is 100%.

I am highly satisfied with the colleges reputation, infrastructure, teaching faculty.
Placements: Regarding placements, the college attracts top companies such as TCS, Infosys, LIC, Indigo Airlines, HDFC bank, South Indian Bank etc. For Bachelor of commerce graduates there are various promising roles available including relationship manager, accounts executive, HR executive, Finance executive, sales executive etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is well-equipped featuring smart classroom boards, a library, two canteens, research lab and Wi-Fi facilities. The canteen provides good quality and hygienic food. Medical facilities are available on campus for any unforseen injuries.
Faculty: The faculty is remarkable as the teachers are not only knowledgeable but also helpful and adept to their teaching subjects. However the course curriculum requires updating to align with industry demands and include relevant skills. The semester end examinations are of moderate difficult level and the pass percentage stands at 40% .
Other: Apart from academics the college hosts numerous events, fests and extra curricular activities, creating a vibrant campus life with a diverse and engaging crowd.

One of the Best Colleges in Goa for Graduation.
Placements: Up to 25% of students secured jobs. Most of them opted for higher studies, i.e., M.Sc., which is available in the same college. The highest package is 30,000/- and the lowest is 10,000/-. Vedanta, Cipla, and other pharmaceutical companies in Goa also recruit from the college. No internships or roles were offered.
Infrastructure: No hostel structure available. Private hostels are available nearby for girls. The canteen is good, with tasty and healthy food. Sports and games are at the national level. Some include football, hockey, chess, NCC, NSS, badminton, tennis, basketball, etc. A lot of events take place.
Faculty: The teachers are qualified and knowledgeable. They are kind and explain well. Good presentations are made, and a lot of industry exposure is provided. The course is relevant to the industry, but to secure higher pay, higher qualifications are needed. Semester exams are quite easy. The pass percentage is above 85%.

It is the best college of Goa to enroll in.
Placements: Guaranteed placements are not available. Hardly, they send any placement notifications. Moreover, like the other colleges, they don't organise the placement drive programs. After completing B.Com, I was still unemployed for months. For BBA, they have guaranteed placement as they have to do internships compulsorily.
Infrastructure: Facilities at the institution are really good. It has nice labs, big classrooms, and a library with a lot of resources. I love the library. Hostels are comfortable, and the food is good. There is a medical center if we need it. We also have sports facilities which are well-maintained. Overall, everything has been pretty great for our studies and personal growth.
Faculty: Teachers are very well qualified and helpful. They are way better than other colleges. They care about the student a lot. They are knowledgeable. The course curriculum is not relevant as it does not make students industry-ready. It is just the basics that are taught. No practical and actual learning is done here. Semester exams are not difficult. The pass percentage is 98%.

Absolutely dissatisfied!!
Placements: 50% and above percentage was required. No internship and placements is available and provided by the college. For Sociology it's about crime and society. For History it's about gian history. For English it's about community skills and digital learning etc.
Infrastructure: Girls hostel is indeed available but as of now I have not opted for it as I don't require so I don't have much knowledge about this. So you can read other comments to get more information about this topic. All I know is that it's just a girls hostel.
Faculty: Teaching staff is not so good and friendly and approachable and are rude and the way they teaching is also not so good. Most of the syllabus includes theory only and a very less of practical and so it's boring to learn , listen and hard to understand too.
Other: Campus is too small and no proper seating arrangements is available in the canteen and around campus.

Peaceful campus and good teachers, but no placements for B.Com/BA/B.Sc students.
Placements: In my course, there are no official placements offered through the college. As per my knowledge, no companies visit for campus recruitment, so there are no specific highest, lowest, or average salary packages. I'm not aware of any top recruiting companies or internship opportunities provided by the college in our course. However, I would like to highlight that students from our college often become more creative and confident because we are encouraged to participate in various activities and events throughout the academic year, which helps in building skills for the future.
Infrastructure: The college has a peaceful and beautiful campus with a lot of greenery, which creates a positive environment for students. The classrooms, labs, and other facilities are well-maintained, and the Wi-Fi connection is good. In my opinion, the overall infrastructure is very satisfying and supports a good learning atmosphere. Although I am not a hostel student, I have heard from my friends that the hostel facilities are quite good. The mess and canteen provide hygienic food, with prices starting from Rs. 30 and above. Medical facilities are available on campus, and basic sports facilities are also provided.
Faculty: According to me, most of the teachers in our college are quite good. Some are average, but some teachers are very inspiring. Especially my HOD, she's amazing and the best teacher I've had there. The course is good, but I feel the course alone is not enough to get a job. We need to learn extra skills or maybe do another 2-year course to become industry-ready, as we don't get placements from college. The semester exams are not too difficult. If you attend classes and study properly, you can pass easily.
Other: I chose the B.Com course because I want to do an MBA in the future, and I had heard that this college is good for commerce students. One thing I feel could be improved is that the course should include some creative skills, such as art or drawing. That would make learning more interesting and fun. About the campus, everything is perfect.
