JIS is the place to be for a postgraduate
Placements: Lots of companies come for placements but mainly for the computer science background. Very few core companies come. Major recruiters are mainly TCS and other IT-sector companies but all the students are well-placed either on-campus or off-campus. The highest package was given by TCS at 3.56 lacs for a MTech student and 3.26 lacs for a BTech student.
Infrastructure: The college is located in a good location in Kolkata. The college is an initiative of JIS Group. The college is located near the Dum Dum station which is one of the prime locations. The labs are all well-equipped, meeting the needs of the students. The canteen is the heart of the college and serves affordable food for the students,
Faculty: The faculty team is very friendly and well qualified. They are all trained with modern techniques to teach the students and create an interest among the students about the subjects. The students are taken for industrial visits and training to give them industry exposure.
