SIMC has a multi-step admission process which students need to follow to get into the Institute. Starting with the application, students are required to go through the course-specific entrance exam followed by other selection rounds. After the selection rounds are over, course-wise merit lists are released on the official website of the SIMC post where interested candidates can submit the fee and confirm their admission. Step 1: SIMC Application Process 2025
Students interested in getting into SIMC must submit the online application form for all UG and PG courses as per their preferred course. The SIMC application process is completely conducted in online mode. 
Step 2: SIMC Selection Criteria 2025 & Release of Merit List
After the applications are submitted, students are required to go through the course-specific entrance exam followed by other selection rounds. The process involves three components. Group Exercise, Personal Interaction and Written Ability Test. After the selection rounds are over, course-wise merit lists are released on the official website of SIMC
Step 3: Admission Confirmation at SIMC
Post the selection rounds, candidates who are shortlisted and have their names on the merit lists can submit the fee and confirm their admission to the relevant course at SIMC

Every candidate can make three attempts in SNAP exam. The SNAP exam is conducted in three sessions in a gap of one or two weeks. Candidates can mention their number of attempts in the SNAP application form. However, they will have to pay application fee per session. Thus, candidates who are sure of making multiple attempts only then they should apply for multiple sessions as the fee amount is non-refundable.  The scores of best attempt will be taken into consideration for shortlisting of candidates for Group Exercise, Personal Interview and Writing Ability Test.

Ideally candidates must take all three attempts as the difficulty level of the sessions could be different and it may so happen that one session is easy and candidates can score high in that.

SCMC is only for Media and communication course which has its own sub course like advertisement, public relation, audio visual and journalism. But SCMC is one of the course that is offered. In the same campus, there is Institute of Design with its own sub course like product design, graphic design etc, and another course is offered which is management studies. Each course is different and good in its own way. Symbiosis college also offers courses like law, liberal arts etc.
