All round development at SIMC.

Placements: The highest salary in the past year was 13L PA, with the lowest being around 4LPA and the average is around 6-6.5 LPA. The top roles offered vary from specialisation to specialisation and also according to the need on the organisation. However, to name a few, brand manager, media planner, PR professional, journalist etc. 100% of students from my batch secured an internship even amidst a pandemic.

Infrastructure: In the academic block, we have great facilities of classrooms and labs for MBA students and proper studios and work stations for M.A. students. We have a Wi-Fi in the Academic block and a huge library with a set of computers in it (Apart from the ones in the computer lab). There are 2 hostels both for girls as well as the boys to accommodate us. We have a LAN system for the internet in the hostels and attached bathrooms. We have a 2 floor mess which serves 3 meals and high tea in the evening. Ap...

Placements could have been better in 2015.

Placements: Most of the students from our batch got placed. The top advertising and PR agencies usually visit our college for recruitment. Apart from that, a lot of corporate firms also visit here. I specialised in PR, and during my tenure, companies like Edelman, Weber Shandwick, Perfect Relations and GBM had visited our college for placements. But major corporates which visit here mostly prefer students who have the experience, which is a bit disappointing thing. The placement cell also didn't really perf...

Really good experience and would definitely recommend this college.

Placements: Above 90% students are placed unless you choose to venture on your own. The highest package was 14L and the lowest was 5L. Top recruiting companies will be Kantar, Group, Vedanta, Publicizes, Cognizant etc. 100% students got internship in companies like Jio Saavn, Group, Gozoop, Wedding Sutra, Watconsult etc. Roles offered usually involve social media manager, content manager, research associate etc.

Infrastructure: The facilities are great. No AC in the hostels and you don't need it too because it's pretty chi...

Review of SIMC Pune - Symbiosis Institute of Media & Communication.

Placements: I cannot provide the placements information as of now because I am in this college from few days. Due to the pandemic, we are having online classes from home so I cannot interact with the seniors who had their placements this year. As far as I have heard, the roles offered are in the production houses or content creating. Some of them prefer freelancing. Some students work in movies or television. Some make documentaries and others make advertising films.

Infrastructure: The institute has top-class facilities. The infrastructure of our college is one of the best in the country. Many films have been shot here. Our college is beautiful, picturesque and the best experience to live among nature. The hills feel like a home away from home. It is surrounded by people from all over the country and even some from abroad. It has people from all cultures and religions. The animals, especially the dogs, can be seen everywhere and all love them. The rains are constant throug...

Our college provides you with good opportunities.

Placements: Our college is good for students. The highest salary package offered is 20 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 3 LPA. Placements depend upon the performance of students not only in academics but also on personal development skills and technical skills like data analytics. All students got an internship for different job roles.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is very attractive and good. Our college provides all facilities like indoor games and sports grounds. The canteen serves tasty ...

Choosing between the two institutes depends on various factors such as location, faculty, curriculum, industry interface, placements, and personal preferences. SIMC Pune is located in Pune, Maharashtra, and offers a two-year full-time MBA in Communication Management programme. The institute has a strong faculty team consisting of experienced academicians and industry professionals, and the curriculum is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of communication management principles and practices. PIBM Pune, on the other hand, offers a two-year full-time PGDM programme. The institute has a strong industry interface and a well-designed curriculum that focuses on developing students' managerial and leadership skills through a combination of classroom lectures, case studies, industry projects, and experiential learning opportunities. In terms of placements, both institutes have a good track record of placing their students in leading companies across various sectors. However, PIBM Pune has a stronger industry interface and a wider network of recruiters, which can provide students with better placement opportunities. Overall, both SIMC Pune and PIBM Pune are good choices for management education, and you should choose the institute that aligns with your preferences and career goals. If you are specifically interested in pursuing a career in communication management, then SIMC Pune would be a better choice. However, if you are looking for a broader management education with a strong industry interface, then PIBM Pune would be a better option. It's recommended that you visit both campuses, talk to the faculty and current students, and compare the curriculum and placement records before making a final decision.
