Media Science at THA: Is it worth it?
Placements: The batch comprises of 52 students. More or less 25-30 students got internships or placements, but not directly from the college placement drive. There was a Google classroom where faculty members used to post job offerings and internship opportunities. Top recruiters include SVF, which came to the campus for placements. But only 1-2 students got placed over there.
Infrastructure: Facilities include a Maclab, AV room, studio, and seminar hall, which are air conditioned. The rest of the classrooms are not. The library is full of books of all genres and is air conditioned as well. The best thing is the college canteen, where we got above-average food at affordable rates.
Faculty: Faculty is really good. Teachers are highly experienced and knowledgeable. Some of them have their MBA and MA degree from reputed institutions. Teachers are really friendly and caring. It's literally the same in any college. The course includes some really good subjects and makes the students gain knowledge about what media science is about. Whether it's film studies, AV, journalism, or marketing, students really enjoyed studying about them. Semester exams were comparatively easier than CU-affiliated colleges as the college is affiliated with MAKAUT.
Other: I chose the course because of my knack for photography and marketing. I gained quite some knowledge from the course about what marketing and pr are about. In the final year, we worked on our dissertation project on Impact of AI on Digital marketing. I gained so much from this course. I personally think that this course is about getting the foundation of knowledge correctly. College life is great as we had so many events across different fields like Ad Adda, Journoscope, and HAFF. These included contest about brand pitching, content writing, copywriting, photography, short films, etc. There were many seminars and workshops by renowned actors and directors from the industry.

Lastly, it's crucial for me to emphasize the importance of this course.
Placements: Here, 87 percent of students were placed in this course. The highest package offered was 450,000, with an average of 400,000 and the lowest being 350,000. The top recruiting companies include ABP ANANDA, CAN NEWS, etc. Ninety percent of students got internships from our course, with companies such as ABP News and CAN News. Pursuing this course offers significant advantages.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure available for our course/department include Wi-Fi labs, smart classrooms, and a high-tech library. The food quality is good and hygienic, and the mess rooms are well-furnished. Medical facilities are top-notch, with cooperative doctors. Sports grounds are available both indoors and outdoors.
Faculty: Yes, the teachers are very helpful, almost like friends. It's common for them to be highly qualified and knowledgeable. Their teaching quality is smart and helpful. Yes, the course curriculum is relevant and futuristic, ensuring that students are prepared for the industry. Honestly speaking, the semester exams are moderately difficult. However, if you are sincere, there should be no problem; the pass percentage is 100 percent, meaning all students will pass.
Other: Because I was interested in this course, pursuing it aligns with my passion. Taking this course has made me better in terms of my life, and it will continue to benefit me. All the above questions are fulfilled by this course.

Faculty members are very helpful.
Placements: The placement percentage was 70-80 percent last year. Some of them are doing jobs in top companies like Adobe, TCS, INFOSYS, etc. and others are doing jobs in private sector. At first, the companies gives internship, and then they make us permanent if we are doing good work.
Infrastructure: The college campus is very big. There are various departments so the campus is crowded, but eco-friendly campus is there. AC classrooms are available and labs have ACs. Getting admission here is not so easy but after admission, you will enjoy the environment. Food quality is good in the food court.
Faculty: The professors are very good. They share regular updates about important things like placements, competitive exams, achievements, jobs, etc. on a regular basis. The course curriculum makes the students very efficient. After my course started, my English improved very much from before.

One of the best colleges for Media Science.
Placements: The Heritage Academy is a part of the Heritage Institute. The placement department is very helpful. Also, the departmental teachers help us to provide placement training from the first semester with soft skills, aptitude, and spoken English classes. The highest package is 30 LPA in our college. Some of our classmates are doing internships in some companies.
Infrastructure: The campus is full of free Wi-Fi. The classrooms are very well furnished and completed. Some of the buildings are under construction for expansion. The college has hostel facility but I stay in the mess outside. Because it is cheaper than the hostels. Food is available inside and outside the campus. No price difference between them.
Faculty: All the faculty members are very helpful. This is my second year going on and I am very happy with their behaviour. Till now I have not faced any ragging. The seniors are very helpful and they guide us. Also, teachers, seniors and our batch together organizes all the events. Exams are medium but some students got backlog is last semester exam.

Review of The Heritage Academy.
Placements: I am currently in my first year. But according to my seniors, the on-campus placement rate is average. Almost 64% of students got placed. The highest package offered is 8.4 LPA, and the lowest package is 2 LPA. The top recruiting companies are mainly production houses and media houses (SVF, LIC). Students currently pursuing the course are offered internships by faculty members in different media houses. The bachelor's in media science offers roles like journalist, cinematographer, designer, copywriter, event manager etc.
Infrastructure: Our campus offers free Wi-Fi. There are well-dedicated labs, including a MAC lab for integrated design and production house. We have an in-house studio, a sound room, and a light room for live sessions. There is even a radio room where we can practice. The classrooms are pretty large and well-furnished with projectors and whiteboards. The hostel area is beautiful. It is in the form of flats with balconies and ample space for two people in each room. The food served is good. There are options for table tennis and carrom as well. The grounds are close to the campus.
Faculty: The teachers here are either veterans or former workers from different media houses or production teams. Their experience does inspire us a lot. They help us deal with real-world problems. The course is relevant if you are interested in getting yourself into the wonders of media and visual arts. The semester exams are not difficult. Most of the questions are practical-based and very interesting.
Other: I was pursuing engineering before, but I dropped out to get into this course so that I could explore the media field. The best thing about this course is we get hands-on experience of different roles in a production team. The college also arranges in-house seminars and meetings with actors or former journalists and businessmen for students to directly interact with them. I feel that the college could improve on time management and timely administration, and everything else is good. We are a part of many events, and the fests we organised is Ad Adda. The crowd is very good. Our seniors are helpful. The surroundings are pretty good. Sports are good.

Hi Rashmi, The institute has a good placement record. Many big companies have hired students from here. So, I assume they must be helping students with internships as well. To get your doubts cleared, it will be better to contact the college directly.
