Vivekananda College is one of the best colleges in Kolkata.

Just go for it. It's a good college in everything.
Placements: 70% of students are placed in my course. ABP Ananda is one of the top recruiting companies. Roles vary based on everyone's capability and their passion. The package varies based on the job category or post. Basically, if a student wants to do any internship, my college provides internships in various news companies in Kolkata.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is free, labs are also good, classrooms are okay, but the library needs some more books for our subject. I don't know about the hostel, but I heard once that it's good. The canteen food is awesome and at a low price. Even medical facilities are available for emergencies, and one room is available for game practice. Every year, our college participates in or plans games.
Faculty: Our teachers are qualified and good teachers. Our course is curriculum-relevant, and it makes students ready for the industry and for every company. Questions are moderate to hard. About the passing percentage, I don't have any idea because I'm a good student, so I always get good marks, and I don't have any idea about the passing marks.
Other: I chose the course because I was interested in mass media and new technologies, so I chose it. More updated versions of computers, more books in the library, and even bigger classrooms need to be improved, I think. Events, fests, campus, crowd, campus surroundings, scholarships, and extracurricular activities are all so good and well-maintained.

It is a pathfinder for students.
Placements: 70% of students get placed in our course. 5-7% of students got internships from my college in India Today, Tata Group, etc. Field reporting, content, or desk jobs are the top roles offered in our course. Seminars are the best thing that our course provides to students.
Infrastructure: Our classrooms, department, labs, canteen, library, and Wi-Fi are available. Every facility is number 1. For everything, I would rate 10 out of 10. Even the canteen, medical facilities, sports, and games are good. The level of food quality in the canteen is also very good, and it's definitely improving day by day.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, understanding, and loving. The course curriculum is relevant, and it makes students industry-ready. Exams are not so difficult if students attend classes. The pass percentage is 100%. It has the best faculty members.
Other: I found this course helpful for me, so I chose it. It made me confident. The best thing about this course is that it has so many paths to find an actual field for someone. Events, fests, and extracurricular activities are also good, enjoyable, and most likely for students. Scholarships are available.

A college to make you a legend.
Placements: In our journalism department, we were around 35 students. We got the package of Adobe Audition, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Premium Pro learning; this was included in the lab. Seminars are where a lot of students get their first job. We had been offered roles like freelance reporting, content writing, poster making, and other back-desk roles.
Infrastructure: Vivekananda College has free Wi-Fi for students. In the main lab, we have around 50 computers, and the mini labs have around 7 or 8 computers. Our library has plenty of books on different subjects, and you could get books to read and borrow. There is no hostel available, but there are a lot of PGs available that are budget-friendly, just 200 meters away from our college.
Faculty: Professors are helpful, and their system of teaching was something else; we got a lot of stuff to know from them. Most of them are Ph.D. qualified. Overall, their behavior and helping nature were too good to be explained. Exams were quite hard, but through their tactics, we always got about 70 to 80% marks in our exams.
Other: Journalism and mass communication is a subject where you can learn a lot of stuff, and there is a lot of scope if you choose this course. We also did a workshop; it was fun and also informative.

It's a good college for every student, and faculty members are too good.
Placements: Students must have a 60 to 70% placement for this journalism and mass communication course. Package based on your performance. Corporate companies are recruiting. Student needed 60% approximately to get the internship from our course in corporate companies. Offered roles are journalism, anchor, cameraman, etc., in our course.
Infrastructure: Faculty members and infrastructure are always available for students in our college. Also, the department has free Wi-Fi in our college. Lab, classroom, and library are always available for students. Food quality is very good in mess and canteen.
Faculty: Teaching quality was too good, and teachers are also very helpful. They are qualified and too knowledgeable. They help us in our study, in our presentation, and in our assignments. College ready us for the industry. Semester exams are easy, but if you didn't study, it's hurt for you. Passing percentage was 40%. Faculty members are always available. Medical faculty members and sports teachers are also there.
Other: I want to be a journalist, that's why I chose this course. Best thing about my course is that it helps in every way and gets us ready for every situation.

Vivekananda College: Presidency College of South Kolkata.
Placements: There are 30% to 40% of students placed in my course in different media houses. The students basically do internships, and that is yearly 60,000 Rs. Top recruitment is from various small media houses and online platforms. Very few percentages of students got internships from my course, and the companies are also small. The top role is either to do higher studies or join a media house.
Infrastructure: Our classrooms have Wi-Fi, the lab is fully AC, Wi-Fi, smart gadgets, multimedia player, board, duster. The library is full of books, so many books that you don’t have to buy from other shops. This college doesn’t provide a hostel, but you can get various PGs beside the college. The canteen is overpriced, and the cook is average. The college has a cricket and a football team.
Faculty: Teachers are always there to help, well-learned, well-maintained, qualified, and knowledgeable. This course is not so much curriculum-relevant. Students have to do 2–3 internships to be industry-ready. Semester exams are not very hard. You have to go to a different college to give the exam.
Other: I chose the course because I wanted to be a journalist. The best thing is this course has so much fieldwork, which is very important for the next work life. This college has many more events: Freshers, Teachers' Day, Farewell, government holidays, and various fairs that happen in the college. Students can get the Vivekananda Scholarship if they score 60% in the past exams.

Good placement, internships, great teaching faculty and campus.
Placements: There is a good amount of around a hundred students in B.A. Journalism Honors and B.A. Journalism Multidisciplinary combined. The college gives out internships in a fair amount, especially more from this year since internships are mandatory. The students get internships from companies like News 18 Bangla, TV9 Bangla, ABP, etc.
Infrastructure: The college has impressive computer labs, neat and clean large classrooms. The library provides a wide extensive range of books that are very useful. The college also has a huge playground, a games room, and a rock climbing wall which are student favorites. The canteen provides fresh hot food that is sold at a low rate for the students' ease.
Faculty: The teachers are all qualified and very knowledgeable. Some of them are also very strict, which comes off as ultimately being helpful later in life. The teachers do take out time to personally help students if the students need it. The B.A. course is very relevant as it does make you industry-ready because each and every one of the students comes out with internship experience that was provided by the college.
Other: I chose this course as there are more career options present in this course and the subject itself is so captivating and interesting. The thing I wish would be better about my course is Fieldwork. I wish we get more experience with the Fieldwork that is very much needed in this course. The college hosts a winter event called "Social" every year where artists like Sonu Nigam and KK have come and performed. The college also provides good scholarship programs.

I would recommend joining this college.
Placements: Our college provides placements in many companies. They offer good placements for eligible students. Students are eligible for placements after 5th semester.
Infrastructure: We have labs with high Wi-Fi connections. Many libraries are available in different blocks, which are sufficient for students' needs. The food served in the canteen is good. Our college has a sports room and a huge playground. The hostel is not available on our campus.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful. They provide us with good notes and demonstrate as well as they can. They conduct lab classes that help us in understanding. They also conduct campus placements. They help us during our semester exams and assignments. They provide a healthy circumstance for students.
Other: Our college conducts football and cricket tournaments. Students must score 60% to apply to any honor subjects in our college.
