1) Look for AICTE approval
2) Look for Equivalence with MBA certified by Association of Indian University (AIU)
These two are mandatory for Higher studies in India and abroad also for Govt. Job in future.
Our college is approved by AICTE, Accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA), and also has the AIU certification. Therefore, in TSM, PGDM is equal to MBA, and you can do PH. D and apply for Govt. Jobs too, in future. :) Hope this helps. Have a nice day.

Current affairs and topics for GD will be simple and those related to management topics.
For personal Interview, be prepared with contemporary management issues, simple management concepts like forward integration and backward integration along with examples.

In terms of placement, Marketing Operations jobs are abundant. Only operations jobs are fairly good but you will get only 2-3 companies visiting our campus so you will feel like dejected with 2.5 yrs of experience.
Marketing jobs with operations complement- placements are good.

TSM MBA programme is one of the oldest in this part of the country, is affiliated to the Madurai Kamaraj University. TSM MBA is approved by AICTE & accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA), AICTE.
TSM PGDM programme is approved by AICTE and equivalence with MBA, certified by AIU (Association of Indian Universities). Needless to state, the PGDM programme enjoys the same, if not greater, acceptance by industry and academia alike as the traditional MBA programme.
Certain distinguishing features of the PGDM programme are:
1. PGDM offers more flexibility in curriculum design and autonomy than MBA.
2. Larger number of core and elective courses. Focus on development of soft and communication skills.
3. Three month summer internship to ensure better employability [2 months for MBA] .
4. Higher Usage of Harvard Business School Cases.
5. Outbound leadership and team building programme which costs approximately Rs.15000 per student is free exclusively for PGDM.
6. Capstone Strategy Simulation Workshop.

TSM's MBA in HR is good in terms of staff, library books, events and fests conducted. NAch HR TSM club always is active here. Recently, they conducted ARETE'18 National level HR meet.
In terms of placements, HR jobs are not so good. There are only 1-2 companies visiting our campus this season. But, here you will be molded to face off-campus interviews and secure a job in HR career.

As a student of TSM, I would recommend you to adopt Thiagarajar School OF Management, as fees is lower. You will be learning Mba course in Madurai, a place where you can save most of your pocket money. Placement is comparatively lower than SRM, but if you have a never-give-up spirit, you will extract value from wherever you work.
In terms of cost of studying do in TSM, if you are looking for more expertise and better packages do in SRM.
