A calm college life with some missing elements.
Placements: The placement scenario in our college is average. Most of the companies that visit offer sales or marketing roles with basic packages. There are very limited opportunities in core pharmaceutical fields like R&D or QA. Students aiming for technical roles usually have to apply off-campus on their own. The college does organize placement drives, but the number of companies is limited. For better opportunities, students often go for higher studies or prepare for government exams. Overall, placement support is okay but needs a lot of improvement.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure for the course is just average. While labs are functional, some equipment is outdated or not available all the time. Classrooms are basic, with limited digital facilities. The hostel is not up to the mark. Rooms are small, cleanliness is an issue, and food quality is below expectations. Wi-Fi is either too slow or doesn’t work at all in most areas. Overall, both academic and hostel infrastructure need serious upgrades to meet modern standards.
Faculty: Faculty members are generally supportive and knowledgeable. A few teachers go beyond classroom teaching and guide students well. The curriculum is decent and covers important pharmacy subjects, though it could be more industry-focused. Exams happen twice each semester. They are internal and final. Some subjects, like Organic Chemistry, can be tough if not studied regularly. Marking is fair but strict in theory papers. Overall, the academic part is okay, but more practical exposure and modern teaching methods would make it better.
Other: I’m from the B. Pharma batch of 2023–27. I chose this course because of my interest in medicine and drug development. The course offers a good balance of theory and practicals but lacks industrial exposure. More internships or industry visits would really help. Campus life is quiet with limited fests or events. The crowd is mostly academic-focused, and there isn’t much happening socially. Public transport is available but not very frequent. Overall, the course is fine for serious students, but a few improvements in teaching methods and campus engagement would make the experience much better.
