Not a great crowd here. However, pretty good faculties and facilities for industrial design.
Placements: This institution do not have a placement cell . Quite frankly speaking , in industrial design there are very few placements . Not only that, the majority of them figure out everything by themselves and do not depend on the colleges placement cell . LinkedIn is honestly the way to go.
Infrastructure: Pretty good hostel services along with good facilities . Every lab is available for various materials as well as digital labs . The food is above average and it is pretty decent for a hostel . Medical facilities are not the best but not too bad either. Sports isn't that active here.
Faculty: Well-experienced faculties are present here and the curriculum is structured well. The teachers are knowledgeable with good industry experience . However, the teacher keeps changing semester by semester, and few faculties end up leaving so there are very few permanent faculties.

The college is good and had the open working environment.
Placements: I am doing my graduation project internship at a place recommended by the college, and it is a great place for exposure and work. However, our seniors weren't provided with the options as their batch was among the first ones to study at UID. Now, there is a placement cell which researches the places we could work at, though it is not very much into the specific areas of design and is open to suggestions from our side.
Infrastructure: The whole campus had Wi-Fi connectivity and equipped with all kinds of labs and workshops required to gain hands-on experience. The classrooms are spacious and have a clean and open workspace. The quality of food is not very good, and the students have been fighting for it for a long time.
Faculty: The faculty members are highly qualified and very open to new ideas. They are helpful and very much available to us whenever we need them. The student to faculty ratio is 35:1. I had a great industry experience at Dutron and Rimtex engineering Pvt. Ltd, wherein I could see my design come to life.

I am disappointed with this college.
Placements: Management is very disgusting and doesn't support in campus placements. They would show multiple companies which offer placements. However, students got an internship on their own efforts without any help from college and also got placed on their merit.
Infrastructure: Food tastes the same every day, and they have no sense of cooking and preparing good quality of food. They have a lot of pest infestation. Conditions of the room are just fabricated to look good, but they have leaking problems, cleanliness issues and pests and insects everywhere.
Faculty: Faculty members put in a lot of efforts for students and help them throughout. Management continues to create huge pitstops and obstruct students from growing creatively. They continue to irritate students with their horrible decisions and torture them to score outstanding marks while not supporting them.
Other: I suggest others not to join this college.

In one word UID is simply "World Class.
Placements: Placements for my batch and for my senior batches were upto the mark, almost 100% of students willing to get a Job after B. Des were all placed. We all were happy and satisfied with the efforts shown toward us by the college management in all aspects.
Infrastructure: The Best Infrastructure in any of the colleges in Gujarat as per my knowledge which comprises of everything a student can actually look forward for within a campus. A gym, a salon, playground, cafeteria, a Gazebo Open Cafeteria which we named as Anticlock, Unparalleled hostel accommodation for boys and girls, fully wife enabled campus, no infra related compaints I could ever imagine about UID or Karnavati University.
Faculty: The Best faculty members in the Industry are all here in UID, the combination of corporate experience and year long teaching experience made our learning so effective over the years, truly the faculty members who taught us are always going to be treated by me as role models for the rest of my life. Am not naming any faculty here, but yes, all my faculty members are very close to my heart, who all contributed for my grooming.

Absolutely mediocre college with exorbitant fees.
Placements: The college claims to have given the maximum package to the batch of 2023 for product design, I believe 30LPA. Other than that, from what I’ve heard from seniors, placements are actually terrible, even though they have a 100% placement policy. The teaching staff and academic courses are not bad. They equip you well, but in the end, it boils down to you and how much effort you’re willing to put in.
Infrastructure: The campus and facilities are well-equipped and well-maintained, and there are no complaints about that. All the classes have AC, and the library is also well. In hostels, televisions and fridges are installed in every room, along with a modular kitchen on every hostel floor.
Faculty: As mentioned before, the course structure is well, but the timeline is always messed up, usually leaving you in a rush and hurry. Other than that, if you are able to manage your time well, some great projects can be produced. Faculty is helpful sometimes, depending on their mood. However, they are quite moody, especially the workshop helpers, so building rapport is crucial.
