B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering - Batch of 2025
2.2
1Placements3Infrastructure3Faculty2Crowd & Campus Life2Value for Money
Average experience with limited placements and basic facilities.
Placements: I am a student of the CSE department at Universal Engineering College, Thrissur, graduated in 2025. Placements are poor in this college. Approximately 40% of students in our CSE batch were placed through campus recruitment. The highest package is 3 LPA. Top recruiting companies are TCS, Q Spiders, and Movate. Internship opportunities are very low as they do not provide any internship opportunities.
Infrastructure: Facility and infrastructure are average. The department has access to Wi-Fi, computer labs, and classrooms. While labs are functional for coursework, they may lack some of the latest hardware and software tools. The library is decent. The hostel is inside the college, which is convenient for students. However, the overall quality of hostel facilities is average. Rooms are manageable but not very spacious. One major concern is that food is not provided on holidays or off days unless the canteen is open, in such cases, meals are given to hostellers. This can be convenient for students staying on campus full-time. Mess and canteen food quality is average.
Faculty: Teachers are generally helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable, though the teaching quality is moderate and varies between faculty members. The course curriculum is somewhat relevant but not fully aligned with current industry demands, so students often need to take extra courses or certifications to become industry-ready.
Other: I chose this course due to my interest in tech and programming. It offers a good foundation but could improve with more practical, industry-focused training.

Promotes sports and less strict.
Placements: Good placement percentage except for CSE. For the other departments, placements are almost 100%. Faculty members help students to get placed and give support even after graduation. Not many companies come to the college we have to try hard and get placed.
Infrastructure: Hostel facilities are average. Also, it's inside the college compound. Cannot accommodate that many students. Also, there are strict rules that need to be followed. Canteen services are also not that great. It's average recently close the snacks bar that is good.
Faculty: Faculty members are very good and nice too. Encourages extracurricular activities and sports. Teachers are less experienced and young so they match the student's vibe. Management is not that supportive when they have to spend money. Otherwise, they are with us also.
Other: Our college supports extracurricular activities. Also, there is a big event every year. This year Vidhu Pratap concert is held.

The college is awesome, but some faculty members are fake.
Placements: Placements are good here. Many MNC companies visit the college for placements. More than 8 CGPA students get an opportunity to attend technical core companies. Some startup companies also visit here. However, only a few students got placed through placements.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of this college is small but pretty decent. The college has a gym, spacious canteen, table tennis with pool tables, badminton court, and volley. The college also provides transport facilities to students from college to hostel and hostel to college.
Faculty: Faculty members are very kind to students, and their way of teaching is good. They behave with students in a good manner. The course curriculum is relevant to the industry requirements. Faculty members encourage students to participate in extracurricular activities.

Absolutely satisfied and good.
Placements: Our college is one of the top 50 colleges in Kerala. More than 70% of students got placed in our college for our course. Top companies are UST Global, Erasmith, Qspiders, OnFlap Technologies, and Thinkpalm Technologies. A lot of internship opportunities are offered to the students.
Infrastructure: Can't say it's perfect but it's developing. It's way better than what it was 5 years back. It has well maintained hostel and classrooms. We have good availability of books in library as well as food from the college canteen. College also supports sports for students like cricket, football, volleyball, kho, badminton, etc., with practice for both boys and girls.
Faculty: Teachers are always approachable and have knowledge about the subject that they teach. The way they teach is simplified and efficient. They also do not take up too much period for syllabus. They take classes for a medium level of time and rest of the period they give free periods.
Other: I chose this course due to parents' advice. Curriculum should be improved. Events and fests are satisfactory at the college management, and also support extracurricular activities and sports.

I am satisfied with sports academics and learning facilities send better placement.
Placements: In my class, 70% of students are placed in different companies. The highest package is around 4. 5 lakhs, while the lowest is 2. 7 lakhs per annum. The top recruiting companies are primarily from Technopark. About 30% of students secured internships for six months at Qspiders in Bangalore. The top role offered is software engineer.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is rated 4 out of 5, and they provide free Wi-Fi throughout the campus. They also offer high-quality education by integrating smart learning in the classroom. Students can access the library, which features a smart library. Our college is well-known for its sports achievements in university games and provides supportive facilities for athletics. The canteen facilities, in my opinion, are not very good, rated 2 out of 5, and below average.
Faculty: In terms of teaching, they employ a smart learning method by using smart TVs in the classrooms, which helps students score higher marks in subjects. They also offer special classes for below-average students and provide support for clearing backlogs.

Course lacks outcome, but good campus, helpful faculty, and great events make it worthwhile.
Placements: From my batch, about 40% of students have already been placed in companies like Qspyder, Erasmith, TCS, and IIT. The college has provided early placement training and even had mock interviews in place. Although the skills needed should be trained by oneself, they do train for the upcoming interviews and also provide career guidance. This does help to steer in a direction.
Infrastructure: Although it's not the best, it's good. They provide a good Wi-Fi connection. The mess doesn't have a variety of food, but the one it has is good. A personal trainer is given to the sports department who is hard working and pushes each student to be better. There is a wonderful ground an outdoor auditorium for events as well. It does have a handful of fruit trees as well.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful. But the curriculum doesn't make you industry-ready ready. We have to learn extra for us to be ready to work in the industry. Plus, the semester exams being tough doesn't help as well. The fact that it's tightly paced with no gaps inorder to learn some skill makes it harder as well. It's difficult to be industry-ready under these circumstances.
Other: To be honest, I wouldn't have chosen this course, it seems the only benefit is the degree certificate. I would have added more practical coding on relevant topics. But the events and activities conducted in the college are amazing. The programs that are conducted are one of the best things here.
