Candidates must meet the eligibility criteria to apply for a course at University College of Science Hyderabad, Osmania University. The basic eligibility to apply for UG course is Class 12 whereas, graduation is required for PG programmes. Below is course-wise eligibility:

Candidates are offered seat in University College of Science Hyderabad BSc based on their merit in the last qualifying exam. TS DOST (Degree Online Services, Telangana) considers the merit of the candidates and offers them seat in the college. Aspirants need to pay the course fee after seat allotment to confirm their admission.

Candidates must complete Class 12 with at least 40% aggregate to apply for University College of Science Hyderabad BSc programme. Compartmental and instant examination candidates: candidates passing the qualifying examination complementary or through instant examination are treated alike and are also eligible to apply. Aspirants must hold the documents proving their eligibility for verification at the time of admission.

University College of Science, Osmania University admissions are both merit and entrance-based. The college selects candidates for UG courses based on their merit in the last qualifying exam. Aspirants applying for MSc and MCA need to qualify CGPET and TSICET, respectively. Once the selection process is over, candidates are allocated seats via TS DOST to UG courses. Selected aspirants need to pay a course fee to confirm their seat in the college.

University College of Science, Osmania University offers scholarships to financially-weak students belonging to SC/ ST/  LBC/ EPP categories. Below is the criteria for the scholarships offered by UCS:

University College of Science Hyderabad offers two-year MSc course spread across four semesters. The college offers MSc in Applied Mathematics and Biotechnology at the PG level. Candidates need to pass graduation to apply for MSc specialisations. Besides, candidates also need to pass CPGET conducted by Osmania University for admission to MSc course.

University College of Science, Osmania University does not offer direct admission to a course. Aspirants are either required to fulfil the merit requirement or appear for an entrance exam for admission. The selection criteria will vary as per the course. Candidates applying for UG courses are offered seat through Telangana State Online Services for Students (TS DOST). For MCA, candidates need to qualify TSICET. Admission to MSc is based on CPGET conducted by Osmania University.

Admission to 85% of the available seats in every course of University College of Science Hyderabad shall be reserved in favour of the local candidates in relation to local area in respect of Osmania university and the remaining 15% of seats are left unreserved for which both local and non-local candidates can compete. Numerous UG courses in the fields of arts, science, commerce, education, law, and management are offered at Osmania University. April is when the application process starts, and June or July is when classes start. Although certain courses require students to take the entrance exam, the qualifying exam score is the primary factor in admission. BA, B.Sc, B.BA, B.Com, B.Ed, BCA, LL.B, B.P.Ed, B.Li.Sc, and BHMCT are among the programmes offered by OU. These programmes last for three years.

University College of Science Hyderabad considers Class 12 score for admission to UG courses. Candidates need to complete Class 12 with at least 40% aggregate to apply for BSc programme. The college has not specified the minimum aggregate to apply for BCA programme. Admission to UG courses is through DOST (Degree Online Services, Telangana).
