The college has a well-structured curriculum, supportive faculty, and valuable industry connections.
Placements: VESIM offers strong corporate connections and placement support. Regular guest sessions by industry professionals and a strong alumni base provide valuable guidance, networking, and career insights, which greatly help in the placement process. I successfully completed my summer internship with Electromag Devices Pvt. Ltd., gaining hands-on industry exposure. For final placements, I was selected by CRISIL, a leading global analytical company. The institute's guidance, training, and corporate engagement play a key role in shaping my career path.
Infrastructure: VESIM offers good campus facilities, with air-conditioned classrooms and digital boards that create an engaging learning environment. The library is well-stocked with books and research material to support academics. The course curriculum is well-structured, focusing on practical exposure through case studies, class discussions, and expert sessions. The hostel facilities are decent, providing a comfortable stay with all basic amenities for students.
Faculty: The faculty members at VESIM are highly qualified, approachable, and very supportive. Their constant guidance and knowledge-sharing make a big difference in both academic and professional growth. The curriculum is designed to be industry-relevant, with a strong focus on case studies, practical exposure, and interactive learning, which helps students become industry-ready. Semester exams are moderate in difficulty and are more application-oriented rather than rote-based. With regular preparation and faculty support, the pass percentage remains high, making the evaluation fair and manageable.

A harsh reality check of VESIM.
Placements: Placements are disappointing, with very few reputed companies visiting the campus. The college makes little to no effort to attract recruiters, and when the face of placements itself is professional, chewing tobacco and paan openly, why would any company take the institute seriously. Students are left to fend for themselves with little to no guidance.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is not at all capable of handling a batch size of 300. The canteen accommodates a maximum of 30–40 people, whereas the total strength is 960 students, including PGDM, which shares the campus with MS. If this is the case with the canteen, you can imagine the rest. Additionally, the canteen is closed on weekends, whereas students are called every weekend, so you need to figure out about your meals since there is nothing available as a decent lunch near the college campus.
Faculty: While a few faculty members genuinely care, the majority fail to provide necessary academic support whether in grading, guidance, or mentorship. Visiting faculty members are often chosen solely for their industry experience, with no emphasis on actual teaching ability, leading to unbearably dull and effective sessions.
Other: VESIM once had a thriving extracurricular culture, but under the new director, it turned into a bureaucratic nightmare. There's zero humility in how students are treated. Volunteers receive no attendance concession despite the time and effort they put in, and they are expected to work beyond 5:30 PM. And for what? The college takes all the credit for accreditation, while students get nothing in return. If you believe in leadership development through event management, this is not the place for you.

Average college which is slightly towards the good side but not that great.
Placements: The average placement rate is 80-90%. The placement for marketing and finance comes regularly. The placement for operations is not that good as compared to marketing and finance. The average placement package is between 4 Lacs per annum and 8 Lacs per annum.
Infrastructure: The college has a good library to study in, and the campus does have Wi-Fi. The last floor of the college has good seating, like chairs and round views, which were recently built, but other classes still have bench-type seating. The college also has computers.
Faculty: The faculty are pretty good enough. They have good exposure of industry also. Some faculty members have Ph.D. degrees, and some faculty members are also passed from IMS. The teaching quality is also average I wouldn't say great but average or good enough. The course curriculum followed is from Mumbai University, which is not that good.
Other: I chose this course due to the marks that I got in CET. I belong to Maharashtra so I got admission in an MS degree. The fest, crowd, and events are organized frequently.

I really miss those days.
Placements: As soon as you reach the fifth trimester, you can apply to companies that come to recruit. From the second trimester on, the college offers many internships in SIP. Many local small business startups hire me as an intern for a 3-month period and give me a stipend. The college placement process is very professional. If you fill in the wrong information and percentage, you will be banned from placements. The college fee is nearing 8 lacs and its average package is also 8 lacs per year, which is impressive.
Infrastructure: The college's infrastructure is excellent. The main building is built in a curved shape, and on the front there is a sitting area that looks attractive. Mostly, about 60% students are Mumbai-based. The college is located in Mumbai. It have many companies surrounding the college but campus is small. Hostel rooms are like home; all facilities are given food that is nutritious; it is given four times a day. My point of view is that college neglects sports.
Faculty: MS courses are similar to PGDM programs, but they cover more in-depth management topics. PG has 2 semesters and MS has 3 semesters in a year. The course is followed by university guidelines. Teachers associated with the college are very helpful; some have previously worked with big management firms. Most teachers have done research and qualified above a master's degree. Semesters have 2 exams: midterm and final term exams. There is also a weight for academic activities. Passing needs a minimum of 40% out of 100; exams are difficult.
Other: There are many scholarships for deserving students, such as state government minority scholarships, EBC, and Dr. Punjabrao.

Absolutely satisfied with placement & faculty .
Placements: Right from the end of the second semester, companies start coming for internships or full-time jobs. There were a lot of companies that came to the college campus. Deloitte, JPMorgan, and Goldman Sachs are some of the big companies that participate in the pool drive. The college is located in Mumbai, so ultimately Mumbai-based companies hire most students. The real average package is 6 LPA, and the highest package is 18 LPA. One should not expect a package of 1 crore. Internship opportunities are mostly in the sales domain; some startups offer a stipend of 15-20k during the internship period. Projects are very important as they help with growth.
Infrastructure: In short, campus life is very good; the environment here is the best, and the people on campus are very friendly. The biggest fest here is named "Aarohan," which is the most awaited event. All classrooms here are smart classrooms, and the library has a lot of books and journals. The college organizes sports during the sports fest. There are many clubs like CSR, SWC, and Super 30, which are the most popular. The hostel is not worth the price; its facilities are lacking, and the food is bad. However, the hostel itself is very good, with almost all facilities, from water and electricity to laundry and washing machines, available. The canteen is very bad; the prices are high, and the taste is poor. Most students don't have other options.
Faculty: I personally like the faculty members; they help and encourage us to pursue startups and not just run the rat race. Teachers are open-minded and have a beautiful perspective towards life; they think beyond just college. Teaching is good; they add jokes so you don’t get bored, and their teaching style is rare, as they are masters in their field. The MS course can be said to be similar to an MBA, but with slight differences. Our course has an in-depth syllabus and is more project- and result-oriented, whereas an MBA is more about theory. Exams are mostly based on case studies and some theory concepts. The difficulty is high, and sometimes out-of-syllabus questions are asked.
Other: College campus is very beautiful our campus is small but it feels big in Mumbai like cities.

Combination of good placements, teachers and curriculum.
Placements: Placement in college is great. Many big MNC companies, such as Dabur Deloitte, L&T, ICICI Bank, and other big companies, conduct recruitment. The placement cell of the college is good; they give opportunities to work on live projects. The college also has international placement, with three students selected for jobs in the UAE, Germany and Canada. 90 percent of students placed on campus have 19 LPA as an international package and 10 LPA as a domestic average package. Yes, internships are offered.
Infrastructure: As compared to other Mumbai colleges, our campus is big, and the and the main building infrastructure is in a curvy shape. Two-wheeler parking is not allowed in college, and some campus construction is still in progress. Laboratory and common areas require better maintenance; the location is near an oil refinery, and the environment is a bit smoky. The library provides all books for academic learning. The hostel facility is provided by the college; there are both AC and non-AC rooms available; the girls and boys hostels are separate; the menu is changing every week; and the hostel is a bit affordable.
Faculty: Issues with administrative processes, such as a slow response time or bureaucratic processes, could be very frustrating and if you went for some work in the office, they were very rude. Teachers are polite; they are well qualified. BMS is like a mini-MS; doing MS gives me deeper knowledge in the management field and helps me develop top management skills. It is similar to an MBA course but we have 3 semesters of exams conducted by the university's academic calendar. Semester exams are medium-to-difficult.

A:

For VESIM, the maximum weightage is only for the entrance exams of CAT/ MAT. VESIM not only sees the cutoff but also looks to various other factors which help them to choose the better candidates .

A:
The Master of Management Studies (MMS) at Vivekanand Education Society Institute of Management (VESIM) is a two-year, full-time management program approved by AICTE, Govt. of India. A:

The cutoff for VESIM Mumbai is based on candidates' MAH MBA CET scores. To be eligible for Maharashtra CAP All India Counselling, candidates must fulfill the VESIM Mumbai cutoff.

A:

No, getting the minimum cutoff doesn't guarantee admission to VESIM. VESIM considers various factors, including entrance exam scores, academic performance, work experience, and personal qualities.

  • Work Experience: Relevant work experience can give an applicant an edge over the competition.

No, I don't think students can join directly in the VESIM because admission creiteria in top B Schools in India is only on the basis of percentile in various competition exams. VESIM also accepts scores of various entrances exam like CAT, XAT, MAT, CMAT, MHTCET etc. So, in this college direct admission is not possible.

With a 50% minimum requirement in Class 12th, you fulfill the basic eligibility criteria. Other factors that come into play: VESIM considers your entire profile, including academic record, work experience (if any), extracurricular activities, group discussion (GD), and personal interview (PI) performance.
