XLRI Jamshedpur MBA/ PGDM Highlights 2026
XLRI Jamshedpur PGDM is flagship course offered for duration of two-years. It is offered in total five specialisations.
- The available specialisations are Business Management, Human Resource Management, General Management, IEVD and LSCM.
- Other than this, institute also provides Online and Double Master's PGDM Programme as well.
- The two-year full-time double master's programme in Supply Chain Management & Supply Chain Analytics is offered in international partnership with Rutgers Business School, USA.

XLRI is accredited by AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business), AMBA, and NBA (National Board of Accreditation), and is approved by AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education), AIU, and GOI.
Being a private college, the fee can be a little high, but the students can apply for scholarships provided by the XLRI-Xavier School of Management. Hence, even if the students find XLRI Jamshedpur a little expensive, they don't have to worry as scholarships are available to assist them.

XLRI - Xavier School of Management provides various postgraduate and other courses to students across Business Management and various other streams. These postgraduate courses are provided through its two schools of study, namely the School of Resources and IR and the School of Business. XLRI Jamshedpur has a huge campus with a lot of on-campus facilities available for postgraduate and other course students. STEP 1: XLRI Jamshedpur PGDM Application Process 2026
Candidates seeking admission to Xavier School of Management must apply through XAT. Institute offers admission based on this entrance score only. The step-wise application process is given below:

STEP 2: Shortlisting of Candidates for GD & PI
Based on information available in application form and XAT scores, XLRI Jamshedpur will shortlist candidates for Group Discussion and Personal Interview round. Apart from XAT scores and screening of applications, XLRI also considers work experience, academic background extracurricular activities while preparing final list.
STEP 3: Result Announcement for Admission
Based on XAT scores, GD & PI performance and other parameters, the school will release the merit list of selected students for final admission. Candidates whose names appear on the merit list are then required to pay the admission fee before the given timeline to confirm their admission.

Xavier School of Management Jamshedpur does not have the provision of direct admission to the Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) courses. However, as per various sources, XLRI Jamshedpur has a few seats under the Managment quota for which the institute offers direct admission. XLRI admission to most the PGDM courses is based on the Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT), conducted by XLRI, Jamshedpur.

As per the official website, the XAT overall cutoff 2026 for male (Engineer/Tech) is ≥94 for PGDM in Business Management. Yes, XAT is slightly tougher for candidates with non-Engineering background as the Quantitative Aptitude section is of higher difficulty level. However, they can crack it if they work on the fundamentals of Math and practice questions of all difficulty levels. The XLRI waitlist movement is usually high for Delhi campus between 350 to 600 spots. For Jamshedpur the movement is low between 100 to 180 for BM and 130 to 230 for HRM.

Yes, XAT essay writing round can be considered tough, given that you have to present your point with clarity, examples and convincing arguments - all in limited word count. You need to have a lot of practice in writing short, clear and logically structured essays.
