B.E. in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering - Batch of 2016
3.0
There are no placements. We have a moderate infrastructure. The faculty are good.
Placements: In placements, we got one company for the technical profile. Only two students got placed with a package of 2.4 LPA. Other two or three company were of non-technical background. Nobody got the internship at our college. There is a T &P department which only gives false hopes of big MNCs.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is moderate. Labs are available for every department. Classrooms are normal. The library is quite large. It could find mostly syllabus related books. There is no sports department. There are no medical facilities in our college. The hostel rooms are okay. I never faced any infrastructure issue during the tenure.
Faculty: Some of the faculty members are good, but they are newly joined. The senior faculty are bossy and rude. We can't even face some senior lecturers. Teaching is good, and the course curriculum covers most of the syllabus. We got a chance to visit an industry in Mumbai and a tour to Goa.
Other: Not many events are celebrated at our college. Technical fests and a cultural function occur in our college.

Unsatisfied student of BDCOE, Sewagram.
Placements: This college's placement team doesn't know how to work. In our batch, 20-30% students were placed in the companies that came for campus recruitment. Remaining students were placed through their own references. Many of the students waited for at least 1 year more to get placed. Even though the college promised us to bring MNCs like Tech Mahindra, TCS for recruitment, None of them showed up. The highest package which students grabbed in off campus was 3.5-4 LPA.
Infrastructure: The classes are not efficient enough for digital or e-learning. There is one basketball court which is not maintained properly. College doesn't provide Wi-Fi during college hours except in computer lab. College canteen provides lots of tasty snacks which are quite cheap in price. But, the quality of hostel food in not upto the mark as complained by the hostel students. The hostels are very old and has not been renovated from a long period of time. Also, the first year hostel building looks like a haunted house.
Faculty: Hardly 20% of the staff is fully qualified and the rest use very old method of teaching. Most of the faculty focus on theory rather than practical knowledge which is the backbone of Engineering. Also, the innovative and creative students are not appreciated and encouraged by the college. As they use very traditional methods of teaching and the course curriculum is not updated, their is hardly any industry exposure for the students which in turn face consequences during placements.
Other: The campus crowd is very dull.

BDCOE, pitfalls in the current status of Engineering Colleges.
Placements: Placements are poor. We had to go off campus for placements. The tie ups are not good. Placement team is weak. Average level companies visited this college. There is no system of internship in this college. If one wants, he can do it independently. Student body conducts workshops to update students with the latest technology.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good. Labs are up to date. There was no Wi-Fi provision during our time. Classrooms were okay. Library was satisfactory. Literature books were not there in the library. Sports and games were satisfactory. I have no idea regarding the hostel. Canteen was very good. Hygienic and tasty food was served.
Faculty: Faculty was satisfactory. There were no visiting faculty members in our time. Also the quality of teachers wasn't that great. Guest lectures were hardly conducted. The course curriculum was set by Nagpur university. It was outdated and needless to say, useless. Industrial visits were conducted.

Review on BDCOE, Sewagram.
Placements: Training and placement department of this college hardly does any work. Most of the students during our batch (2016) had to find jobs on tier own. Only 2-3 companies came who offered very least packages. The highest salary during my batch was 3.5-4 LPA and the lowest was 1.5 LPA. T&D department and the management is not ready to invest in conducting placement week in college.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are not fully digitally equipped. Basketball ground is just for the name sake and was never reconstructed even after the complaints. The hostel rooms are very small for 3 person accommodation. The quality of the food at the mess is detoriating.
Faculty: Since professors are not paid timely, some of them show least interest in teaching. Online methods of teaching such as webinars, emails, blogs were hardly used. The course curriculum is updated to match the industry standards which made it difficult for our batch to answer technical questions during placements.
Other: Big events takes place only 2-3 times a year. Scholarship opportunities are available for economically backward classes. This college ranks very low in participation in extracurricular activities.

Review of YRES's Bapurao Deshmukh College of Engineering.
Placements: The placements are not up to the mark. Only 10% to 20% of the students get placed. The students are offered with various roles in the IT sector such as developer, support, BPO, etc. Only a few students get placed. Only a few students were offered internships. There is a placement cell in our college, but it is not very efficient.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is average. The library is good, and the college doesn't provide any Wi-Fi facility. Labs are old, and the lab equipment is not in working condition. The college doesn't provide any medical facility. Classrooms are old, and they are not in proper condition. The canteen and hostel rooms are good. There is a problem with internet access on the campus.
Faculty: Senior faculty members are knowledgeable. However, the faculty members who were newly joined are not up to the mark. The quality of teaching varies with faculty members. They use blackboard teaching method. The student to faculty ratio is 10:1. The college organises a few industrial visits, but there is a less scope to learn from industry visits.
Other: The college organises a few good fests like Wheelspin (technical fest) and Colors (cultural fest). The college celebrates Ganpati Mahotsav and Navratri for ten days. The campus crowd is amazing. The connectivity was good, and the college provides scholarships for the students who need it. The surroundings of the campus are awesome. The college encourages extracurricular activities, and the college also conducts different inter-department and inter-college competitions and events.

Good teachers, moderate placement, library hours should be extended.
Placements: The placement is not very much good. In my batch, only 3-4 students got placed, but they can improve, and they are giving their best. The placement for our batch is not good as compared to senior batch. 10% students were placed from the college campus, and I don't know about the internship from college. The internship is only offered to architect students.
Infrastructure: The college provides all facilities. Games facilities are also there, and my sports teacher trained me very well for university opportunities. The quality of labs and classrooms is very good, and I would give it 9/10. The quality of food is also very good, 10/10. Hostel rooms are good with rating 8/10, and the library is also good. Only one drawback is that library opens at 10 am and closes at 5 pm. Students here wanted to study hard. Most of the students want 24hrs library facility in college.
Faculty: The faculty were helpful, knowledgeable and understood the difficulties of students where he/she is lacking and focusing the major portion on understanding briefly. Teaching quality is good. Student to faculty ratio is 20:1. The industrial visit is also there for every 2-3 months. The course curriculum is very useful.
Other: Wheels Pin and Colors these are the two big events held yearly in the college. A prize winning competition is also there.

RTMNU is all about money and business.
Placements: There is no placement at all, so don't think of placements here. Placement faculty members just take their salary and in the name of placement, they called 1 company which took everyone's money and ran away. If they really do some efforts, there are many companies who hire well in engineering. Students should be prepared in such a manner so that they could face companies and give them what they need.
Infrastructure: There is no Wi-Fi and no other sports other than cricket. There are so many sports which the sports mentor should look upon. There is no proper field of play. They are just compromising studies in the name of good faculty members .Outsiders just don't go there for engineering. You can't get anything from here.
Faculty: Some faculty members just read from the book, so whether they understand or not is doubtful. They just copy paste the topics. The only hope is that if a student is brilliant, he can do self-study. Learning here is just a myth, but some teachers who really meant something in learning give their efforts so that students will learn something.
Other: The college has a reputation but whats the use of this reputation if there is no good education. There are no skills, and they don't even know the basics. They need to improve the syllabus which is a must. Teachers should be selected on a teaching basis. Before coming here, I had lots of interest in engineering, but after coming out of this, I am just scared of it.

Just for students from rural background.
Placements: This is one of the oldest institutes in R.T.M.N.U. university (now called as Nagpur university). The placement and training program is an initiative from the college to help the students at their entry stage performance during placement campaign. Around 15 placement companies have visited the institute in 2015. Most of the students got job designation as quality control engineer or trainee engineer in various companies (mostly IT companies). But not more than 10 % student placed during campus placement. (It doesn't mean that some others don't get good jobs in off campus recruitment drive). The general average salary comes around not more than 2 LPA. The most disappointing thing is about the students from mechanical department where not more than 5-6 companies visited for the placement drive and all of the companies returned with nothing much in their hands. Those students who got selected as trainee engineer job were offered an average stipend of ten thousand rupees per month which is not so much impressive. The batches up to 2013 got good placement opportunities. But recently the number of placement is declining continuously.
Infrastructure: The institute is situated at a rural place so the things except academic facilities like library and laboratories are not taken into consideration by the college cell. The college doesn't provide any Wi-Fi connectivity in college premises. The sport and games facilities are available only for very few games. The canteen is now available for the students which is really good at reasonable prices. The overall classrooms and laboratories are sufficiently available for all the students. Some of the students may face problems with accommodation because of very old buildings.
Faculty: Most of the faculty members are good at their place but the overall exposure to the industrial environmental is not up to the mark. The college staff is truly educated, qualified and helpful. But this is true in only electronics and telecommunication and electronics and power department. They regularly conducted classes/ lectures, which is an appreciable thing in this institute.
Other: The fees structure, minimal other expenses during the academic year, low-cost accommodation facility, nearby hotels and hostel facility are advantages, specially for those students who are from the rural background and want to complete their graduation in the same environment. But the students dreaming for the top end environment and wifi campus with decent facilities may feel uncomfortable with the overall scenario during their four year engineering duration.
