Test centres and eligibility criteria for FDDI AIST 2017
All India Selection Test (AIST) is conducted by Footwear Design and Development Institute (FDDI) to provide admission to candidates aspiring to build their career in the field of fashion, retail, and design. The college provides admission to aspiring students at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Admissions at FDDI are provided on the basis of merit determined through a candidate’s score in FDDI AIST. The exam pattern for FDDI AIST 2017 is such that the paper contains 150 objective-type multiple choice questions that candidates need to complete in 2.5 hours duration.
All interested candidates need to submit their application form for FDDI AIST in the online mode. However, prior to applying for the exam, candidates need to ensure that they meet the eligibility criteria for FDDI AIST 2017.
FDDI AIST Eligibility Criteria
FDDI specifies different eligibility criteria for admission in UG and PG programmes as mentioned below:
Eligibility criteria for admission in UG programmes: Candidates who have cleared or are appearing for Standard XII exams are eligible to apply for FDDI AIST 2017 to secure admission in undergraduate programmes at FDDI. UG programmes on offer at FDDI include:
• BSc - Footwear Design & Production
• BSc - Retail & Fashion Merchandise
• BSc - Fashion Leather Accessory Design
Age limit: Apart from the aforementioned eligibility criteria, candidates also need to be 25 years in age as on July 31, 2017 in order to be eligible for FDDI AIST.
Eligibility criteria for admission in PG programmes: Candidates holding a bachelor’s degree in any discipline fulfill the eligibility criteria for FDDI AIST 2017 for PG admissions at FDDI. Candidates appearing for their final year graduation exams are also eligible to apply. PG programmes on offer at FDDI include:
• MSc - Footwear Design & Production
• MSc - Creative Design & CAD/CAM
• MSc - Retail & Fashion Merchandise
