Similar to other NIFT campuses, the Bachelor of Design (B.Des) programme admissions process at NIFT Hyderabad is based on the NIFT Entrance Exam (GAT and CAT), which is followed by a situation test and personal interview. The number of candidates and overall performance on the entrance exam are among the variables that affect the selection criteria and cutoff scores for admission, which can change from year to year. There is no set minimum score needed to get admitted to NIFT. Instead, a candidate is chosen based on how well they fared on the entrance exam, in a scenario test, and in the personal interview. All these elements are taken into account while creating the final merit list.

The minimum scores needed for the B.Des programme at NIFT Hyderabad vary depending on your category and course preference. The cutoff rank for the B.Des (Fashion Design) programme in 2022 was 3308 for the General category, 3027 for OBC (NCL), 981 for SC, and 3886 for ST.Visit the official NIFT website or get in touch with the admissions department first.

The National Institute of Fashion Technology Hyderabad cutoff for B.Des is on the basis of NIFT entrance exam, followed by the NIFT counselling process. As per the NIFT Hyderabad cutoff 2024, the last round closing rank for B.Des ranged bteween 661 and 1158 for the General AI category candidates. So, considering the last round cutoff, candidates must secure a rank upto 1158 to be eligible for NIFT Hyderabad for B.Des course.

Yes, NIFT Hyderabad does offer BDes courses for the duration of four years, divided into eight semesters, and offered in full-time mode. To get admissions into BDes courses, candidates are required to complete their Class 12 and must achieve valid scores in the entrance exam. NIFT Hyderabad accepts the NIFT entrance exam for BDes courses, which is a combination of the CAT and GAT exams.  Further, shortlisted candidates are required to appear in a studio test, followed by a PI. 

The minimum eligibility for getting into NIFT is class 12 with a minimum percentage and selection will be based on the entrance exam. The applicants will be shortlisted for further proceeding of admission on the basis of marks secured in the NIFT Exam i.e., CAT and GAT.
