NIFT Hyderabad BDes Admission Dates 2026
NIFT Hyderabad BDes admission dates 2026 have been announced. The admission process starts with the release of NIFT entrance exam dates, and online registration in December. The Stage 1 Entrance Exam (GAT and CAT) is conducted in February, and the results are usually declared by the last week of April. Shortlisted students would need to take up the NIFT Situation Test, which is the Stage 2 of the admission process, in June. Admission to the NIFT Hyderabad BDes course is a competitive, multi-stage process managed by National Testing Agency (NTA). 3. Release of Merit/ Cutoff
After the conclusion of the primary selection rounds, check for results and appear for the counselling process and seat allocation for successful candidates. Candidates applying for NIFT Hyderabad must visit the official website of NIFT to register for the entrance test. NIFT Hyderabad BDes admission is based on candidates' performance in the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) entrance exam comprising of a Creative Ability Test (CAT) and General Ability Test (GAT). Shortlisted candidates on the basis of CAT/ GAT test scores are then required to appear for the Situation Test, conducted by NIFT for BDes admission.
NIFT Hyderabad only accepts the scores of the NIFT entrance exam for admissions to the BDes course. The institute does not accept the score of UCEED for admission to BDes courses. However, UCEED is widely accepted into several institutions, which offer undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Designing. Hence, if a candidate is planning to get admissions into NIFT Hyderabad or any NIFT, they are required to prepare for NIFTEE, not for UCEED.
