The admission fees at MSAP for BDes courses is the same as the payable fees. It is not clear whether the admission fee is the total course fee for the BDes course at MSAP which is INR 7.2 Lacs or the fee for the first instalment which is INR 1.8 lakh. Genrally, the first instalment of tuition fee combined with caution deposit is the admission fee for the BDes course. The caution deposit for BDes admissions at MSAP is INR 10,000.

At MSAP, there is only 1 specialisation of BDes course available at MSAP which is BDes in Interior Design. The BDes in Interior Design is a 4 year course with 8 semesters which is offered in fulltime mode only. The BDes in Interior Design course can be exited at MSAP within 3 years at the option of the students. However, they will be awarded a BA in Interior Design degree upon doing so with no option of taking readmissions into the same BDes course.

Manipal School of Architecture and Planning (MSAP) is a constituent of the Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), which is ranked 14th overall by NIRF 2020. MSAP offers B.Des in four disciplines: Fashion Design, Interior Design, Product Design, and User Experience Design. MSAP has a well-organized placement team comprising faculty, students, and the associate director, which is responsible for the placement and entrepreneurship opportunities for the students. NITTE Institute of Architecture (NIA) is a part of Nitte University, Mangalore, which is not ranked by NIRF 2020. NIA does not offer B.Des course, but only B.Arch course. NIA does not provide campus placements for its students, as it is a 5-year course with 10 semesters. Students have to search and apply for internships and jobs themselves . NIA has a vision of building a learning campus that supports creative exploration and nurtures the journey of students towards a meaningful architectural practice. NIA has a fee structure of INR 2.5 Lacs per annum for the B.Arch course.

MSAP offers two branches in BDes i.e., Interior Design and Fashion Design. The college offers different scope and opportunities in both the courses and have their own scope and opportunities its totally depends on student interest and skills. The college also provide lateral entry in BDes in both stream and the admission is merit based. The duration of both the branches is 4 years and the annual fee is INR 5.6 Lakh. No, the last date to apply for BDes admissions at MSAP was scheduled at 31 March 2025. Candidates who failed to apply for the BDes admissions on or before this date will need to wait for the BDes admissions 2026 at MSAP. The dates for MSAP 2026 admissions for the BDes course will be revealed at a later date. Candidates who applied for the MSAP BDes admissions within the scheduled period can download the results. 

NO, the admissions in MSAP are entrance-based. In some courses, the college offers direct admission based on the last qualifying exam. In courses, such as BArch, BDes students must take give entrance test to get shortlisted in both courses. The college offers direct admission for BDes lateral entry in both streams. The eligibility criteria for Manipal School of Architecture and Planning (MSAP) vary from one course to another.
