Review of Bachelor of fashion design from the Symbiosis Institute of Design.

Placements: 40–45% of the students get on-campus placements from the Symbiosis Institute of Design. The average package offered here in our course was between 3 and 6 LPA. The top recruiters at our college were Sampada, Reliance, Tata lifestyle, Resham, Puma, Bewakoof, etc. The top roles offered at the college were fashion designer, product designer, etc.

Infrastructure: This college had a good infrastructure for the Bachelor of Design program. Facilities such as labs, libraries, canteens, Wi-Fi, sports and other kinds of necessary facilities were available at this college. Our college also has hostel facilities for its students. Mess food was good to eat at the hostel.

Faculty: The faculty of our institute was helpful, qualified and knowledgeable in this course. Teachers were giving proper guidance to the students. The quality of the teaching was also good. The course curriculum for our course was relevant and it makes the students industry-ready. Semester exams at the college were not hard to pass.

It is quite a great learning place for design enthusiasts.

Placements: 5 out of 30 students got placed. Packages offered range from 3-12 LPA. Mostly, startups came here. Roles offered are assistant designer, fashion merchandiser, fashion buyer, content writer, stylist, fashion consultant, pattern maker, visual merchandiser, colour expert, and fabric engineer.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is really good with top-notch quality labs for product design, fashion design and animation design with 24*7 fast internet connection. The hostels are only available for girls, but the mess could be accessed by boys by paying yearly mess fee.

Faculty: The teachers are really helpful. Most of them are highly qualified in their respective field of study. The course curriculum is the same as other national institutes related to design. Semester exams are quite easy, provided you paid attention during the semester classes and worked hard.

Overall, it is a great college to go to.

Placements: The placement rates are great for UED and GD. You will also get a lot of industry contacts, so there is a lot of scope for getting access to the industry. In the field of fashion, many of my seniors and passed outs are currently working under big names such as Tarun Tahiliani and some Bollywood stars as well.

Infrastructure: The college pays a lot of attention to hostel facilities and especially its security. The hostel also does have carrom, pool, table tennis and even a badminton court, keeping in mind how important physical activities are. Hostel rooms are also very spacious with limited accommodation.

Faculty: The college has experienced faculty members who help students a lot with their works. They motivate and push students to do better. All the faculty members make sure that the students are going in the right direction and often ask them to redo some works just so that it is near to perfection.
