Explore these options and decide wisely when the score is low in KCET

One can make their dreams come true by exploring all the options and making a wise decision before the time runs out.
Whether to drop a year or not?
Dropping a year could only be considered when the student is prepared well enough to crack the exam in the next attempt, otherwise all the efforts would be futile. Dropping a year for competitive exams like KCET require complete dedication as repeating the same books and understanding the same concepts often makes this frustrating for students. Knowing the answers and still following the revision pattern makes it all the more boring each day. I gave the KCET exam in 2017, I couldn't clear it and most importantly I knew that I will not be able to crack it the next time as the cut-off and the number of students appearing for the exam would increase the coming year. Hence, I made a choice and moved further, with other colleges which were accepting low rank for admission.
Best colleges one can get with low scores
Many colleges give admissions to students with low scores in the KCET exam. Some colleges accept students conducts their entrance tests with a simpler pattern of exams. This would help in getting admission in a college without dropping a year. Well, one can make their dreams come true with efficiency and hard work. In my opinion, it doesn't highly matter in which college you studied till you score well in the exams. According to my personal experience, I believe almost every college works hard to provide the best facilities and study material to its students. Thus, it’s not important if you are not studying in the highest-ranked college. Some of the colleges/ universities which conduct their entrance exams are:
- Anna University
- Manipal Academy of Higher Education
- Lovely Professional University
- Amity University
- VIT University, Vellore
Should one wait for the subsequent counselling sessions?
Waiting for the counselling sessions after KCET Results are out, is indeed what every student should do. However, one should be ready with the back-up ideas as well. Moreover, the counselling sessions should be considered when your rank is near to the cut-offs. The students should start looking for some other colleges and their entrance exams before their deadline. Students must have a plan to move on without any delays and hesitations if they could not clear KCET. I followed the same approach and ensure that I do not lose on to the other opportunities.
