Assess every aspect of the options available, take guidance from family and teachers and decide accordingly.
JEE Main is one of the toughest entrance exams in India. Many students do not qualify the minimum required marks in their respective categories. Most of the students who score low in this exam feel discouraged. One thing that they should remember is that this is not the end. There are numerous opportunities for a person to get admission in their dream college/university. In this article, I am going to sharing my personal experience when I scored below my expectations in the JEE Main.
As stated above, the student has many other options available when scores less in exams. Firstly, if the student believes that they need more time to prepare for JEE Main, to score well then they could opt for dropping a year to prepare for the exam again. In this scenario, one could join various coaching institutes is their hometown or some of the renowned institutes in India such as Resonance, Bansal Classes, Allen, Aakash, etc. The students could take guidance from experienced teachers and work on their strengths. They could make strategies according to the pattern of exam and give their best to qualify the JEE Main exams. Hence, the students should prepare for the exam again with complete dedication and determination.
The second option for students is to take admission in another college. One could also get a good college even with low scores in JEE Main Some of the good private colleges are KIITEE, VITEEE, UPESEAT, SRMJEEE, etc. Students could also give exams organised by different states such as U.P - UPSEE, COMEDK - Karnataka, etc. They could score well as these exams are less difficult than the JEE Main. Some of the colleges do not conduct an exam, instead, a student could directly fill an admission form online and visit campus for further admission process. To get admission, they need to give an interview or an internal test conducted by the college to assess the person’s ability.
In my opinion, if a student wants admission in a specific college; he must wait for the counselling sessions. One should attend these counselling sessions, discuss ideas with the professionals, and make the decision accordingly. If a student has given various exams and wants to get in-depth information about the college, then also they must attend all the counselling sessions as this would help them in making the decision easier. Therefore, one must consider all the options before making any decision.
