Lets learn more about the above fields in detail

Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML): With the emergence of generative AI and the focus on creating intelligent systems, AI and ML are in high demand across major sectors. AI/ML is important to automate tasks and make decision-making easy. AI/ML is used to train models that depict patterns that are helpful in giving solutions. AI models such as ChatGPT, Meta AI, and Google Gemini are taking over the market by storm as they are trained on billions of equations to ensure cent-percent results. Engineers behind these products work day-in-and-out to train their models so that the user base. Candidates with specialized courses in AI/ML attract high pay packages.

There are abundance of full time as well as part time B.Tech courses in AI/ML which candidates can get enrolled for. If you are already a working individual, you can join for a part time course.

Computer Science: Since its inception, computer science has always required an engineer to oversee its operation, be it a software engineer or a hardware engineer, or a network engineer. Instead of taking up jobs, computers have produced some of the high-paying jobs, surging employment. The next in line field in engineering is computer science, which involves areas like software engineering, cloud computing, and DevOps.

It is a massive and ongoing need for skilled professionals in the booming tech industry. Students with a degree in computer science have higher chances of getting placed in MNCs and receiving handsome pay packages. B.Tech in Computer Science is a popular course among fresh 10+2 passouts.

Cybersecurity: It is a famous saying, that technology is a double edged sword, why is it said so? In this context, computers are the double edged sword as they help solve problems and even create issues. You might have heard of online hacking, digital arrest, phishing, and malware attacks. These are all types of cyber attacks. In recent years, with growing risk of cyber threats, the demand for cyber security engineers has seen a rapid incline to protect data, networks, and protect the interests of critical organizations holding sensitive data worldwide. Cyber security experts and cyber engineers get remuneration between 6-12 LPA depending upon experience and the type of organisation they are working with.

Students interested in BTech courses in Cyber Security can join these course from any reputed college to multiply their chances of qualification.

Robotics and Automation: Along with AI/ML the development and implementation of robots and automated systems are also in high demand. Robots are in high demand in fields such as manufacturing, logistics, and other industries to automate the process and to speed up the work time. Robotics and automation attracts high salary packages as it involves deep understanding of neural networks and complex coding.

Data Science and Big Data: AI/ML and Robotics are all part of data science and big data as data becomes central to decision-making, engineers are needed to analyze and interpret massive datasets to provide valuable insights. Data science and big data is seeing a boom these days with starting salaries ranging from 10-12 LPA and going all the way to 30-35 LPA for a 3-4 year experienced candidate.

Renewable and Sustainable Energy: Pollution and the dependence on natural fuels have spiked to its all time high. This spike in pollution has made several parts of planet earth a breeding ground for toxic air, soil erosion, pollution etc. However, this disaster has created a demand for renewable and sustainable energy to safeguard our present and the future of the next generation.

As the world transitions away from fossil fuels, renewable and sustainable engineers are needed to design, develop, and implement renewable energy systems like solar, wind, and geothermal to ensure our dependence on natural fuels are declined. Engineers associated with these projects are always in demand and the perks are always high.

Biomedical Engineering: Not going too far, in 2020 the corona pandemic all of us opened up in front of the mirror to look and think, are we that medically capable? Do we have all the answers to the questions related to medical health and care? The answer is no. One virus can trigger worldwide panic. However, the essence of human beings is survival and we fought against it and in record time created the corona virus all thanks to our biomedical engineers and the doctors who assisted in saving numerous lives. Since then, this field has seen advancement.

Biomedical engineering combines biology and medicine to create new technologies for healthcare which is essential for survival of human beings. The growth and monetary compensation is endless in biomedical engineering. For example just look at the stocks and the growth of Serum Institute of India, which played a major role in creating the COVID-19 vaccine.

Civil and Infrastructure: The demand for skilled civil engineers will always be high. Civil engineers are responsible for creating, designing and building crucial infrastructure like roads, bridges, and buildings. They give special emphasis on sustainable and utilizing smart technologies to create massive structures, monuments, long lasting infrastructure to ease the way we travel, commute and do our regular business.

Aerospace Engineering: If you ask me personally, I am always in awe of aircrafts. They are the marvel of engineering. Just imagine a Boeing 737 or Airbus 320 weighing approx. 30,000 to 40,000 kgs flying 300 passengers and reaching a destination within hours. A century ago this was just a dream, but today, it is the world's largest and rapidly growing industry.

Not just in passenger or commercial but also in defense sectors, aerospace engineering has reached its pinnacle and day-by-day it is just growing and awing. Job opportunities are predicted to grow, with applications in both traditional aerospace and emerging areas like new space technologies. Who knows 20 years down the line we might be booking a ticket to the MARS?
