I took coaching from Aakash Institute to prepare for the JEE exam. My GUJCET exam was scheduled 15 days after my JEE Main exam. So, I immediately started preparing for it. GUJCET focuses more on the theoretical concepts which was an issue for me.
Since my school days, I was curious about computers. I used to spent hours in my computer lab exploring all the Microsoft tools that were pre-installed in the computer. This developed my interest to work with computers. Hence, I decided to do engineering in the field of computer or IT. I took coaching for the preparation of the JEE entrance exam in 11th standard. My main goal was to take admission in NITs or IITs. But due to my low JEE score, I couldn’t get into any NIT or IIT. Although I passed the JEE Main exam, I was unable to get a seat in computer engineering.
I also appeared for the GUJCET entrance exam. Based on my GUJCET score, I got admission to some of the prestigious colleges of the state. But the only issue was the course. I was not able to secure a seat in the computer engineering branch of any of these colleges. Then, I came across Silver Oak College of Engineering & Technology, Gota. Luckily, I was eligible for its computer engineering score based on my GUJCET score. Finally, I got admission to my desired branch in SOCET. I have never regretted the decision of choosing SOCET.

Most of my college time is spent on different technical and non-technical activities. I also manage and conduct college events with my team members. I am a member of the IEEE club at my college. As a member, I have taken part in several webinars and they have helped me in improving my communication as well as managerial skills. I have also represented my college at various inter-college events. All these events have polished my marketing skills.
I attend all my lectures related to computers wholeheartedly. Coming to other subjects, I only attend their lectures for the sake of attendance. But I attend all my practical lab sessions to gain practical knowledge. It is very helpful in my field to achieve my goals. My overall college experience till now has been very good. I have changed a lot after joining this college. It has helped me in improving my communication skills, managerial skills, and many other skills which are needed in my field and also in our day to day life. I am sure this experience is definitely going to help me in making a successful career in my field.
