Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) is a state-level examination, conducted for admission into various colleges in Karnataka. KCET is conducted once a year and the mode of the examination is offline.

A student needs hard work and dedication to prepare for the KCET exam. Revision plays an important role in clearing any exam with high grades. A thorough revision of all the topics in the last week would help in achieving high marks in the exam. Therefore, a proper study plan including a plan for revision is required by a student to crack KCET.
Tips on time management
Time Management plays a crucial role while preparing for any competitive exam. Formulate a plan to cover all the topics before the scheduled exam. Managing time would help in reducing the efforts required to complete a subject. Give equal time to each subject and revise all the topics within the stipulated time.
Scoring Topics (Chapters/Preparation Strategy)
Completing the syllabus and covering all the topics are important to score high. The questions in KCET comes from every chapter, however, the weightage of each topic is different from the other. Therefore, it is a little difficult to tell the important chapters. Below is the list of few chapters from different subjects that helped me score well, however, going through all the chapters is essential to crack the exam in the first attempt.
Physics
The important topics of Physics are as follows:
- Wave Optics, Heat and Thermodynamics, Electrostatics, Ray Optics, and Modern Physics (Atomic Models)
Mathematics
The important topics of Mathematics are as follows:
- Probability, Vectors, 3D Geometry, Sets, Relations, Functions and Theory of Equation
Chemistry:
The important topics of Chemistry are as follows:
- Alkanes, Alkenes and Alkynes, Principles and Processes of Extraction, Mole Concepts, and Biomolecules
Managing Class 12 and entrance preparation
Managing Class 12 board and entrance preparation simultaneously is not easy for many students. Managing the time well, covering all the topics to complete the syllabus and revision of the syllabus on time would help students in clearing the exam in the first attempt.
