The college provides the students with a better platform to experiment and find their niche: Piyush Dadhich

After completing 10th grade everyone wonders about their subject choices. I was clear about taking Science and Mathematics. When I compared my interest in PCM, I had a bias towards Physics as it was a conceptual subject that fascinated me. After completing my 12th class I wondered about my future. I thought about IIT coaching and many more avenues related to the same as the ultimate goal was to study engineering. I searched for the most valued and qualified colleges in Jaipur for my course and interests and kept coming across Arya College of Engineering and Information Technology. I visited the college and liked the campus too. The reason for choosing electrical engineering was my elder brother. He thought that electrical engineering would be an interesting option for me.  

With the help of the REAP form, I cracked my admission in the college. It is a very simple process which requires one to fill a form. Every college has a REAP code. I also tried to take admission in JECRC and SKIT but I didn’t get admission through REAP and the direct admission fee was high. Many colleges also provide direct admission but some of them also ask for a donation. I never took any coaching classes because my school provided me with all the facilities I wanted for my future. Arya college also provides direct admission without any other charges so it was a great thing. What helped me was to be clear about what I wanted from my college as all to have some great departments but some have undermined facilities. What helps is finding your balance between your interest in the studies and the extra-curricular.

My college starts at 8.30 am and the lectures end by 4 pm. Every lecture is for 50 minutes and every lab class is of the duration of one and a half hour. There are eight lectures in one day and two amongst them are lab classes. Every semester, there is a lecture which is given for extra knowledge like accounts, humanity & social science, entrepreneurship, etc. Arya College also provides for extra classes related to core subjects like electrical engineering. They provide Autocade, panel designing, PLC and more which builds new skills in students. I like my core branch subject classes like electrical machine, power systems, high voltage, transmission and distribution. At Arya College, the electrical department organizes an event called 'Goonj'. I was the coordinator of sponsorship department in Goonj and coordinated two games. Many technical and non-technical activities are provided in this event at the state level. Other branches also organize their events like automobile department organized street carting. The whole year is bustling with activities organized by the college which builds the students confidence and gives them a better platform to experiment and find their niche.
