WBJEE Counselling 2026 will be conducted in two rounds, namely Round 1 and Round 2, followed by the Defence quota counselling. 

Heritage Institute of Technology offers a Full Time BE/BTech programme that lasts 4 years. It is available in 21 specializations. Students can apply for B.Tech at HIT provided they clear the selection process. The total number of seats alloted for B.Tech programme is 1140 and it is distributed into all the specilizations. However, in terms of affordability, Swami Vivekananda University, Barrackpore is a better option since the total tuition fee for Swami Vivekananda University, Barrackpore is INR 215,000 - INR 325,000 and the total tuition fee for B.E. / B.Tech at HIT - Haldia Institute of Technology is INR 279,050 - INR 426,700. In the total fees that students generally end up paying the university or the college, various other components are also included, such as the exam fee, application fee, lab and other charges.
