Kalyani University admission to most of the courses are offered via scores of various state/ national-level entrance exams. However, the university does not conduct any entrance exams on its own, but it accepts a few state/ national-level entrances conducted by West Bengal state. Yes, Aliah University does offer BTech courses for the duration of four years, divided into eight semesters, and offered in full-time mode. Moreover, the university also offers BTech lateral entry courses for the duration of three years. To get admission into BTech courses, candidates are required to complete their Class 12 from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics with a minimum aggregate of 60%. Moreover, candidates must have achieved 50 marks in their Class 12 level in Mathematics subject.

Yes, Candidates who wish to become a professor after BTech in Electrical Engineering will also be required to complete MTech and PhD in the required discipline.They must clear GATE in order to pursue M.Tech and later pursue PhD in the same discipline. They must demonstrate excellent research skills by grabbing fellowships and submitting research papers across SCOPUS indexed journals.

WBJEE took place in April 27, 2025. WBJEE test has a duration of 4 hrs where, the students have to attempt 2 papers with 1 paper having ques from Maths only while the 2nd paper has ques from both Physics & Chemistry.
