WBJEE Counselling 2026 will be conducted in two rounds, namely Round 1 and Round 2, followed by the Defence quota counselling. 

It seems that NIT Narula Institute of Technology provides students pursuing a B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) with an unequal experience. Renowned firms like Microsoft, Amazon, and Juspay come to recruit and provide competitive salary packages up to 51 LPA off-campus; the college has a respectable placement record. Concerns around disparate placement rates and students choosing to forego college internships in favor of greater prospects elsewhere are present while this is happening. The campus has a number of sports facilities, immaculate classrooms, and Wi-Fi, however the catered food's quality and quantity need to be enhanced. Heritage Institute of Technology offers a Full Time BE/BTech programme that lasts 4 years. It is available in 21 specializations. Students can apply for B.Tech at HIT provided they clear the selection process. The total number of seats alloted for B.Tech programme is 1140 and it is distributed into all the specilizations. Students who want to get into HIT must clear the eligibility criteri aset by the institute for B.Tech i.e. must have passed 10+2 from a recognised university, must secure a valid score at JEE Mains and clear the cutoff. Once the qualify candidates are shortlisted they are called for counselling and based oon their ranking the seats are alloted to them.

Techno International New Town does not offer any scholarships to the students pursuing their higher studies at the institute. However, the institute accepts different scholarships offered by national, state governments or by any private institution on individual. The total seats offered for B.E. / B.Tech at UEM Kolkata - University of Engineering and Management and Techno Main Salt Lake are 1800 and 990, respectively. While UEM Kolkata - University of Engineering and Management offers this course in 11 specialisations, Techno Main Salt Lake offers the same in 14 specialisations. Hence, there are higher chances of getting a seat at UEM Kolkata - University of Engineering and Management due to higher seats.

Calcutta University BTech admissions are not yet open as counselling rounds have not yet begun. WBJEE counselling is expected to begin in either last week of June or first week of July.

Swami Vivekananda University, Barrackpore and HIT - Haldia Institute of Technology both are renowned universities for B.E. / B.Tech. However, in terms of affordability, Swami Vivekananda University, Barrackpore is a better option since the total tuition fee for Swami Vivekananda University, Barrackpore is INR 215,000 - INR 325,000 and the total tuition fee for B.E. / B.Tech at HIT - Haldia Institute of Technology is INR 279,050 - INR 426,700. In the total fees that students generally end up paying the university or the college, various other components are also included, such as the exam fee, application fee, lab and other charges.
