PSG College offers admission to courses based on merit or entrance exam scores of the candidates. Admission to BSc and MSc programmes does not require passing an entrance test. Aspirants need to pass Class 12 followed by TNEA Counselling for BTech. For all other courses, admission is entrance-based.

The fee structure for B.Tech programmes ( Biotechnology, fashion technology, information technology and textile technology)  at Kumaraguru College of Technology is approximately around Rs.3,81,000 - Rs.4,01,200 ( 4 years ). This is the tuition fees excluding the mess fee or hostel fees of Kumaraguru College of Technology. The fees is almost same for all specialisations in B.Tech course. The Return on Investment in B.Tech course is 2 lakh to 4 lakh. 

Candidates need to apply for TNEA for BTech admission. The applications for TNEA are open in May and closes by June. The selection for PG courses is based on CET score. The application window for CET conducted by Association of Management of Coimbatore opens by the last week of June and closes by the last week of July.

The candidates who have passed Class 12 with a minimum of 45% aggregate are eligible to apply for the desired BE programme. At the time of form filling and admission, the mark sheet/pass certificate also has to be presented for verification purposes. These documents are required for verification purposes. Yes, Candidates who wish to become a professor after BTech in Electrical Engineering will also be required to complete MTech and PhD in the required discipline.They must clear GATE in order to pursue M.Tech and later pursue PhD in the same discipline. They must demonstrate excellent research skills by grabbing fellowships and submitting research papers across SCOPUS indexed journals.
