Joyful journey of IIM Kozhikode .

Placements: At IIM Kozhikode, placements for students start in their final year. There are about 125 companies that are participating in campus drives, some of which are consulting giants like BCG, Brains, Accenture and leading companies of BFSI (Goldman Sachs, Citibank), FMCG (Nestled, HUL) and IT (Microsoft, Amazon), etc.; they visit frequently; the highest package offered last year was 65 LPA, and the average is 28 LPA. The summer internship programme is an integral part of the curriculum, in which many companies come and give internships. Almost all students get good internships. Deloitte provides most internships.

Infrastructure: Institute and city connectivity are poor. The weather is humid most days. The institute invites famous personalities, like Philip Kotlar, to deliver talks on marketing. Ankit Tiwari and Kimar Varun are also invited. Books and course packs are included in the package and provided by the college. All classrooms have AC, Wi-Fi and auditorium seating that is comfortable. The campus has serval badminton, basketball, table tennis and squash court. There is a 25-meter swimming pool, 1 football court, 11 volleyball courts and a few cricket nets. A common gym is there for students. In hostels, single, double and triple-occupancy rooms are available with AC and attached washrooms. I am from Maharashtra and find it difficult in terms of food habits .

Faculty: Teachers at IIM have a lot of years of experience, are the highest education degree holders and have amazing subject knowledge. IIM is the best institute for management in India; no doubt, its curriculum is fully aligned with industries and the latest technologies. They simply create entrepreneurs rather than employees. Semesters are based on quizzes and case studies but there is a lot of pressure because exams are very difficult .

The college has great faculty and placement opportunities for the students.

Placements: At IIMK, all the courses offered students placement opportunities. Around 70% of the students in the CSE course get placed at this college. The average package offered to our course students was between 5-6 LPA. Top recruiters at the college were IBM, Accenture, KPMG, Deloitte, Walmart, etc.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of IIMK was well maintained and developed. Facilities offered to our course students were good enough. For the students' academics and knowledge development, various modern facilities such as the library, computer labs, Wi-Fi, projectors, etc. were provided here in the college. Hostel facility was available for the students. All the facilities of the college were of good quality. Multiple sports facilities were available in the college for the students.

Faculty: IIMK had both guest and permanent faculty for our course. Yes, the teachers of the college were helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. All the teachers were supportive to the students, helping them in gaining the best quality knowledge and giving proper guidance to the students. The course curriculum followed here in the college was relevant and made the students industry-ready. Semester exams were not hard to pass.

Top Class Facilities in the campus.

Placements: The entire batch gets placed. The placecomm works very hard in bringing good companies. This time the entire placement was over within 3 days. A total of 571 offers were rolled out from 116 companies. The consulting domain accounted for approximately 41% of the roles offered by conglomerates, MNCs, and startups. The average salary was 29.9 lacs pa while the median salary was 26.6 lacs pa. Top recruiting companies were Mckinsey, Brain and Co. , The Boston Consulting Group, Deloitte, Walmart, Amazon, Flipkart, EY, KPMG, PWC, Everest Groups, J&J, Asian Paints, JPMC, GS, Deutsche Bank, .

Infrastructure: The institute has all the major facilities. Hostels, high-speed internet, 24*7 electricity, well-equipped classrooms, and a great library. Some of the hostels are single-seater while some are double. All rooms get a good internet connection. There are football and basketball courts, common areas having a foosball table, table tennis table. The campus is also wheelchair friendly. Hostels are good. The mess has a variety of food every day. Both veg and non-veg options are available. If you wish you can buy snacks separately. The hostels have common areas to allow both boys and girls to hang out and relax. There are night canteens too for the late workers. There is a post office and an SBI bank. There is also a dispensary available. Since the campus is situated on a hill, there are buses plying at regular intervals both uphill and downhill.

Faculty: The professors are well-versed with their subjects and are very helpful. They do not only guide you in for studies but will help you in your case competitions as well. Some teachers really know their way with the students and go beyond the normal classroom interaction. The MBA is a hectic course and one should only opt for it if he is sure of it. It is a value for money course and it makes an individual a great strategist, leader, and industry-ready.

Other: I wanted to upskill myself. Also, MBA provides acceleration in your career. The first term is very hectic, CV building CV vetting, SIP preparation, section wars, studies, assignments, projects, everything happens simultaneously. So if the first term events are made to span out a bit, it would definitely help the students.

Placements: Every year the whole batch gets placed I. e. IIM Kozhikode has 100% placement. Students are not allowed to disclose this information. BCG Brain McKinsey KPMG Amazon Coca cola and many other big companies. The top roles offered in IIM Kozhikode are Consultant, Management Trainee, Prodman All the information regarding the packages is available on the institutes official website. As mentioned earlier IIM Kozhikode has a 100% placement rate and the same is the case with the internships all the students gets place for the summer internship. Companies like the Big 3, Coca cola, Loreal, Amazon and many more.

Infrastructure: IIM Kozhikode Campus is fully equipped with state of art facilities in terms of infrastructure be it the Wi-Fi, Labs, Classrooms, Library etc. The Hostels are well-equipped with all the basic facilities some of the hostels have common washroom whereas some hostels are 2 seater fully furnished with AC and attached washrooms. The Campus have 3 fully functional mess along with Night canteen in two of the hostels. Kiosks are also there if want to grab a quick snack during the lectures. The Institute has functional dispensary with a doctor available round the clock. The Sports facilities available on the campus includes basketball, volleyball, badminton and football ground along with this a new Sport stadium is under construction.

Faculty: The Teachers are from the best knowledgeable minds of the country. Every teacher is a master in their respective fields. The Institute is famous for its student- teacher bonding. At IIM Kozhikode it's normal to find teachers hosting their students on dinner. The teaching methodology usually comprises of case studies and discussion on the learnings from the case. Definitely, the curriculum is highly relevant and provides the students with all the necessary skills required for the corporate world.

Other: I did my UG from NIT Bhopal. At NIT Bhopal I held important positions in the tech and cultural fest of the institute. Therefore I decided to pursue MBA after engineering. Due to Covid 2 terms of my 1st year were completely online I believe that impacted the learning curve of the students in a negative manner other than that the course doesn't require any specific improvement. Backwaters - Institutes management fest, Campus Crowd- Pan India, Connectivity - Excellent, Campus Surrounding- Lush green and mesmerizing (God's own Campus), Scholarship- A number of scholarship are offered, ECA - Sports and cultural and many more.

Placements: 1. 100% placement record. 2. The highest package offered is 58 LPA and average package is 23.08 LPA. 3. Goldman Sachs, Brain, JP Morgan, HUL, Crisil, McKinsey and Company, Mahindra, Microsoft, Google are the top recruiters. 4. Investment banking, Product Management, Advisory, General Management and many more roles were offered. 6. 100% internship offers in Goldman Sachs, Brain, JP Morgan, ICICI Bank, TATA, Reliance, Airtel, ABInBev, Deloitte, EY, PWC, KPMG, CRISIL, BCG, Accenture.

Infrastructure: 1. The facilities available are absolutely top notch. During the online process, the experience has been very smooth. The library covers all the major resources be it Bloomberg, Thomson reuteurs, magazines, publications etc. The campus is superb and in terms of physical infrastructure meets the requirement. However, the Wi-Fi sometimes creates an issue in some rooms. The classrooms are spacious and the campus is large enough to accommodate the increased batch size. 2. Infrastructure for all the major sports is available, volleyball courts are there, football ground etc. The sports committee organizes different sporting events through out the year. Hostels are spacious and the location is absolutely surreal. Plus students are engaged in various activities like steaming movies in the theatre, organizing games etc. The mess food may not sometimes meet the expectations but options are available both inside and outside the campus. Doctors are available on the campus plus there is a student run emergency response team as well to cater to emergency situations.

Faculty: 1. At IIM Kozhikode we are lucky to have some of the best professors that are available in our country. Plus there are visiting faculty members who are like the regular faculty members are pioneers in their fields. The entire pedagogy is application based and rote learning is neither encouraged nor expected. Professors adopt different approaches depending on the subject. Lot of emphasis is laid on case studies, online simulations, class discussions, etc. 2. The course curriculum is highly relevant with case studies covering the modern business scenarios. In the first year the students cover the same subjects. From the second year the students choose electives. The elective are again as per the latest trends in the industry.

Other: 1. IIMK is one of the best b-schools in India. It was recently ranked no.4 in the NIRF ranking which highlights the progress it has made. Plus, the college offers not only the traditional PGP programme but also PGP-Finance and PGP-LSM. This facilitates interactions among the students. Their are various students bodies with the students at the front and the center of the things. 2. The course is about the management and off course they put you under pressure. But sometimes it gets a bit overwhelming. Otherwise it is superb course and an honor to be part of. 3. Enough opportunities will be provided. Hi Rakesh, given the fact that you have scores in 70s in class X and XII, this might act as a deterrence for getting calls from IIM despite 3 years of work experience. But, that can be compensated, if you have a great cat score (more than 99 percentile).
