Master Chef Fans! The very mention of this word brings a picture of a chef to our minds. Culinary art is defined as the art of preparing and cooking food. The opportunities in this sector are many and are growing by the day with so many new hotels and restaurants coming up.

You could be a chef, restaurant manager, dietitian, and nutritionist. Chefs are also referred to as culinarian in restaurants. They are responsible for preparing sumptuous food and excellent presentation. They are required to have knowledge of the science of food and an understanding of diet and nutrition.

Job Prospects and Remuneration:

This sector offers an array of opportunities and the majority of which are at entry-level. Jobs in hotels, restaurants, air catering, food processing companies, catering in confectioneries, cruise liner, corporate catering, departmental catering services of defense and railway departments are also open to a chef. A new entree can earn within Rs.10,000 to 15,000 per month. After gaining 5-7 years of experience, one can easily earn up to Rs.50,000 - 60,000 per month. As you reach the top and become an Executive Chef, you can earn anything between Rs. 1 lakh and Rs. 2 lakh per month. There are various other related job options in this sector including:
