The BHU offers good placements across all its courses with median package hovering around INR 8 LPA - INR 16 LPA for UG courses. Lucknow University admissions are conducted on the basis of entrance exam scores and the merit of the student. It accepts entrance scores such as CUET, CUET-PG, and JEE Main. University of Lucknow also offers direct admission to vacant and NRI seats for BTech and MCA programmes. Candidates must secure a minimum aggregate of 40% to 60% in Class 12 for UG level admissions. For PG level admissions, candidates must secure a minimum aggregate of 45% to 50% in graduation. 

MJPRU admissions are either entrance or merit-based. Candidates have to qualify for the minimum eligibility criteria to apply for any of the UG & PG courses. For PG courses, MJPRU conducts the MJPRU entrance exam. Apart from that for courses such as BPharm, BTech, MBA, MCA, etc., the university accepts valid scores of JEE Main, CUET UG & CUET PG entrance exams. Further, for other UG courses, admissions are entirely based on the merit obtained in the previous qualifying exam.
