CUCAT Pattern 2026: Calicut University will release the CUCAT exam pattern 2026 on its official website. As per the last year's CUCAT pattern, the question paper primarily consists of multiple-choice questions (MCQs). However, for some courses, the CUCAT paper may also include descriptive questions. Descriptive questions are generally found in the papers of philosophy, psychology and language courses. The duration of CUCAT 2026 is two hours. CUCAT 2026 Exam Pattern

According to the CUCAT 2026 exam pattern –

CUCAT test will be conducted offline (pen and paper test)
Students will be provided with OMR sheets and plain papers to attempt their questions.
Each MCQ carries 4 marks.
CUCAT exam pattern includes negative marking system, i.e, each incorrect answer for an MCQ question will be awarded -0.25 marks.
Where applicable, descriptive questions will carry 5 or 10 marks, depending on their length.
The number of questions will vary by course, with papers containing either 50 or 100 questions.
The total exam duration will be 2 hours.
