PUBDET Application Form 2026: Check Registration Date, Fees & How to Apply

Aspirants who wish to apply for PUBDET exam 2026 can check eligibility criteria below. 

Nationality: Citizens of India.

PUBDET Age Limit: PUBDET 2026 has no minimum or maximum age limit. Any Indian citizen who qualifies for academic qualifications can apply for PUBDET entrance exam.

Academic Qualification for PUBDET 2026: Candidates need to clear higher secondary examination (XII) conducted by CBSE, West Bengal or an equivalent exam. Students must pass XII with at least five recognized subjects. It should include English language and exclude Environmental Science. Best four recognized subjects aggregate will be calculated.

Steps to fill out PUBDET 2026 application form are provided below. Remeber, you should complete your registration on or before the deadline of PUBDET exam dates end.

1. Go to the official website and register by providing these details. 

2. Fill out Application form

• After successfully registering, candidates can fill out the application form by entering personal details such as domicile, category, PwD status, home district, family income status, religion, nationality, etc. and academic qualifications of class X and XII.
• After filling in the aforementioned details, candidates need to choose any two zones as examination centres and submit the application.
• In the next step, candidates need to upload scanned images of their photographs and signatures. 

3. Uploading of Images

The specifications for which the scanned images of the photograph and signature must be uploaded are mentioned below. 

Points to Remember wrt Images

Applicants must remember the following points while uploading the images.

• Photograph must be recently taken, which can match the candidate’s physical features.
• Low-quality images (taken by a mobile phone) will be rejected.
• The background must be white.
• The face of the candidate should occupy at least 50 per cent of the entire space while looking at the camera.
• Candidates are advised to get enough printouts of the photographs as the pictures will be needed at the exam centre, during counselling, admission and registration with the university.

PUBDET 2026 application fee is INR 500. It also includes some extra bank charges. PUBDET application fee can be paid using Net Banking/ Debit Card/ Credit Card or by cash using Allahabad Bank e-challan. An extra INR 250 must be paid for each additional paper that the applicants wish to apply for. 

Application Confirmation Page 

After successfully filling out application form, the applicants can press the submit button. This will lead the aspirant to a confirmation page, which means that the application process is now complete. The application is not complete until the ‘confirmation page’ is granted. Candidates must take a printout of the confirmation page and preserve it till the completion of the admission process.

Note: If candidates lose their confirmation page, a duplicate can be provided by the board. However, candidates will have to apply to the board and pay a processing fee of INR 500 by a bank draft in the name of “West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board”, which is payable in Kolkata.

Students need to check PUBDET syllabus details before submitting their application form. 

Successful applicants will be issued PUBDET admit cards. Admit cards will be released online on the exam body's official website, just like PUBDET application form. Candidates will have to enter their application numbers and dates of birth to access their admit cards. A printout of PUBDET admit card must be carried to the exam centre. Candidates who fail to produce the admit card at the exam centres will not be allowed to take the entrance exam. The admit cards will mention important information like exam timings, reporting time, exam centre address and exam day guidelines, along with the examinees' personal details as provided on PUBDET application form.
