Candidates were required to register themselves on the official website of the university to apply for the PUBDET 2024 entrance exam. Yes. PUBDET is conducted by the Presidency University in order to offer candidates admission in Humanities and Science streams at the undergraduate level.  PUBDET comprises separate entrance exams that are conducted to offer admission to aspirants in different Science and humanities programmes offered at Presidency University at the undergraduate level. While appearing for PUBDET exam, candidates can apply for a maximum of any two subjects. 

PUBDET 2024 exam hasbeen rescheduled by the exam conducting body. PUBDET 2024 exam which was scheduled to be held on July 27, 2024 and July 28, 2024 will now be conducted on July 6, 2024 and July 7, 2024. Presidency University Bachelor's Degree Entrance Test (PUBDET) exam is conducted by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) to provide admission to candidates in BA and BSc  (honours) courses offered at Presidency University, Kolkata. PUBDET comprises separate entrance exams that are conducted to offer admission to candidates in different Science and humanities programmes offered at Presidency University at the undergraduate level. 

Candidates are required to keep the following information in mind while appearing for PUBDET counselling round:

• Candidate’s credentials will be verified at the counselling centre.
• Aspirants need to appear in-person at their counselling centre.
• Credentials of candidates eligible for counselling and admission will be verified on stipulated dates, which will notified to the candidates.
• The Presidency University quota will be applicable for candidates who have qualified their BA/BSc (honors) degree through regukar examination of the university as per merit.
• Admission through non-PU quota will be based on the rank secured in PUBDET 2024 entrance exam.

The Application Fees can be paid by Net Banking/ Debit Card/ Credit Card/ UPI only. Application fees for PUBDET-2024 is INR 500 (Rupees five hundred only) for one paper and INR 250 for each additional paper, plus the Bank’s Service Charges, if applicable. Candidates can check the official website of WBJEEB (West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board) to know all about the application fee submission process or Shiksha page. 

Once the registration details i.e., name, father’s name, mother’s name, gender, domicile and date of birth are entered and submitted, this information cannot be changed/modified/edited under any circumstances. Also, the information must match exactly with the school/college admit cards, mark sheets, certificates, photo identity cards, caste/category/income certificates etc. (as applicable) which a candidate has to produce at the time of entering the examination hall, during counselling/admission and registration with the University.

Upload scanned copy of photograph and signature as per the instructions provided in the Information Bulletin. If any candidate receives any SMS/email regarding discrepancy in photograph/ signature, he/she must take corrective action immediately within one day. Admit cards are not issued if these images are illegible and thus not acceptable.

It is essential to have a valid mobile number and a unique valid email ID. All future communications by the Board will be sent to the registered mobile number and email ID. WBJEEB will not be held responsible for non-receipt of any communication due to wrong/non- existing/non-functional/changed mobile number/ email ID or due to network interruption.

The entrance exam has its own website. PUBDET comprises separate entrance exams that are conducted to offer admission to aspirants in different Science and humanities programmes offered at Presidency University at the undergraduate level. While appearing for PUBDET exam, candidates can apply for a maximum of any two subjects. 

No. Candidates were required to fill and submit the PUBDET application forms in online mode only. Offline applications are not accepted. PUBDET 2024 online application process concluded on March 18, 2024. Eligible and interested candidates were supposed to apply for the exam by visiting the official website of WBJEE. PUBDET 2024 application form was released at the official website of the exam. 

The candidate is required to upload scanned images of their passport-sized photographs and signature.
