SLAT 2026 Reservation Policy: Category-wise Reservation Criteria

The SLAT (Symbiosis Law Admission Test) follows UGC guidelines for its reservation policy. It reserves seats for SC, ST, PwD, along with general category students. There is an additional reservation for Children/Wards of Defence Personnel at SLS Pune only, while Kashmiri Migrants get 2 seats per program (over and above).
Candidates need to provide valid certificates in order to avail the reservations.
In case false information is detected, the candidature stands cancelled.

Symbiosis Law Schools reserve 3% of its seats especially for students that belong to Differently Abled Category (DAC). Students with the below mentioned disabilities can apply for the SLAT 2026 entrance test, under this category:

· Candidates appearing for 10+2 with results awaited can also fill out the form
· Candidates who have a minimum of 45% marks (40% marks or equivalent grade for Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribes) or equivalent grade in 10+2 can apply.
SLAT 2026: Reservation for Kashmiri Pandits and International Candidates
SLAT 2026 admission process includes special reservation for both Kashmiri Pandits/Kashmiri Hindu families (Non-Migrants) and International Candidates, which are considered over and above the sanctioned seat intake, which means they do not decrease the number of seats available for general or other reserved categories of Indian students.
The reservation policy for above two categories are as follows:
- 2 seats reserved for Kashmiri Migrants and Kashmiri Pandits/Kashmiri Hindu Families (Non-Migrants) living in the Kashmir Valley, per programme at each Symbiosis Law School (SLS) campus.
- A maximum of 20% of seats are reserved for international candidates (Foreign Nationals/NRIs/OCIs/PIOs) across all programmes.
How to Select the Category IN SLAT 2026 Application Form
Students need to select their category while filling the SLAT 2026 application form. The selected category will be considered the same for the entire application process. Hence, students needs to be careful while choosing for the reserved category.
Below are the steps students can follow to choose the category while filling the SLAT 2026 application form:
- Visit the official SLAT website (slat-test.org) to begin the application process.
- Fill Part I by filling your personal details and academic information.
- Choose your applicable category (e.g., General, SC, ST, PWD, Children/Wards of Defence Personnel) in the relevant section, from the dropdown menu.
- Upload valid category certificates like Caste Certificate, PWD Certificate, Defence Proof, as required. You need to upload the scanned copies.
- Select your desired Symbiosis Law School (SLS) programmes and make the fee payment.
- Complete the registration process by filling the rest of the form.
- Submit it before the last date.

Yes, minimum marks vary for different categories in SLAT 2026. Candidates from SC/ST categories require a minimum of 40% aggregate marks in their Class 12 or equivalent examination, while the general category requires 45%, to be eligible for SLAT 2026.
Students must submit valid documents in order to avail reserved category in SLAT 2026. Caste Certificate and Disability Certificate are the basic documents that are required for verification of the category during the interview round. SLAT 2026 Reservation Policy: Things to Keep in Mind
While selecting the reservation category, students need to keep the following points in mind:
- Students should make sure to provide accurate and true information. In case of misleading and incorrect details, the candidate can be disqualified.
- Students should have all the necessary documents that support their category selection. The documents are verified during the PI round, failure to which will lead to disqualification.
- Students cannot change the category after submitting the form. So be careful while you select the category.
- You can avail the reservation benefits only if it is verified with proper documents.
SLAT 2026 Eligibility Criteria

SLAT 2026 Latest Update
The Symbiosis International University (SIU) announced the SLAT Result 2026 on January 15, 2026 on its official website, slat-test.org.
The varsity conducted the SLAT Exam for Slot 1 on December 20, 2025 and Slot 2 on December 28, 2025.
Candidates can now download the SLAT Result by entering their login details like SLAT ID and password.
Following are the detailed procedure:
- Visit set-test.org
- Click on the SLAT Result 2026 tab
- Enter your SET ID / SLAT ID and password and click on the submit button.
- The SLAT 2026 scorecard will be displayed.
- Download and take a printout of SLAT 2026 Scorecard for future reference.
SLAT 2026 will offer admissions to BA LLB (Hons.) or BBA LLB (Hons.) programme in four SLSs, i.e. SLS Pune, SLS Nagpur, SLS Noida, or SLS Hyderabad.
Students get the admission based on collective scores in SLAT 2026 exam and the Personal Interview.
