The Symbiosis University will conduct the Symbiosis Law Admission Test in two phases. In the first phase, the SLAT 2026 was conducted on December 20 and in the second phase, it was conducted on December 28. The SLIU released the SLAT 2026 applications on its official platform and notified the exam pattern for the Computer-Based Test(CBT). The SLAT admit card was released on its portal - slat-test.org.

The SLAT 2026 exam pattern provides the structure of the paper, time duration and other details about the exam. The exam will be held in computer-based mode. The detailed exam pattern is mentioned here.  The SLAT exam will be conducted for the admissions to BA LLB (Hons.) and BBA LLB (Hons.) offered by SLS Pune and BA LLB and BBA LLB courses offered by SLS Nagpur, SLS Noida and SLS Hyderabad.

The Symbiosis University will conduct the SLAT as a CBT at the designated exam centres. The admit card was released on its official portal. The key features of the SLAT exam are as under:

Q:   Does the SLAT syllabus change every year?

For the past 2-3 years, the syllabus of SLAT has been the same. However, there is a guarantee that the SET exam authority will not make any changes to the SLAT syllabus in the future. All the important updates related to the SLAT exam are published on the official website of the Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET), set-test.org. Thus, if the exam authority changes the SLAT syllabus, candidates will be able to know about those changes by visiting the SET website. All the details related to SLAT in a particular year are published on this website at least 5-6 months prior to the commencement of the exam. Thus, if the exam authority makes some changes to the SLAT syllabus, this much time will be sufficient for SLAT aspirants to prepare for the exam according to the updated syllabus.

 

Q:   Which topics are asked in the SLAT exam?
A: 

Since the SLAT places a lot of emphasis on analytical skills, the questions tend to be drawn from subjects that call for in-depth study and practise. Candidates must employ their capacity for minute observation and quick calculation in each of the three areas of the SLAT question paper. The SLAT's primary topics, broken down into sections, are listed below.

  • Reading Comprehension - Questions based on passages, Para meaning, Reasoning: Blood Relation,
  • Seating Arrangement, Syllogism, Coding-Decoding, Sets and Caselets, Family Tree, Assumptions
  • Mathematics - Algebra Number System Modern Math, Arithmetic, Mensuration

SLAT 2026 Exam Components

While discussing the exam pattern for SLAT 2026, candidates also need to know the components of the SLAT 2026 based on which they will be admitted to a Symbiosis Law School. SLAT components have been described below:

SLAT 

  • The computer-based Symbiosis Law Admission Test, or SLAT, is the first component of the SLAT exam. 
  • The full marks for SLAT are 60. But these marks are scaled up to 70. 
  • Thus, the weightage of SLAT is 70. 

SLAT PI 

  • SLAT PI stands for SLAT Personal Interview, which is an interview that assesses candidates' aptitude and personality to pursue law education. 
  • The weightage of SLAT PI is 30. 

The combined scores of SLAT, Sand SLAT PI (70+30 = 100) are used for the SLAT selection process for admission to a 5-year LLB course.

The SLAT 2026 Counselling is being conducted by the SLS separetly. The SLS will conduct the counselling based on the score of candidates in SLAT Exam. Candidates can check the SLAT Counselling Schedule by visiting their website.

A score of 30 in SLAT 2026 is kind of average, not too high or too low. It depends on the SLAT cut off 2026 for each Symbiosis Law School (SLS). For SLS Pune or Noida, cut off usually goes higher. But for SLS Hyderabad or Nagpur, 30 might still work fine if the SLAT merit list 2026 allows.

No, there is no extra fee for SLS slot booking. Once you pay the SLAT 2026 application fee, the slot booking part is free. You only need to log in on the official website and choose your date and time for the PI round. The system confirms it without asking for any more payment.

No, SLAT 2026 gives you only one attempt in a year. You can't take the test twice in the same admission cycle. The score from that single attempt is used for admission to all Symbiosis Law Schools. If you want to try again, you can apply next year when the new SLAT exam opens.

No, once your SLS slot booking is confirmed, you can't change it again. The SLAT 2026 slot booking system locks your choice right after you submit. So you must check the date and time carefully before confirming. If there's any serious issue, you can contact the SIU helpdesk for support.
