Q:   Who can pursue Corporate Law courses?

Anyone studying law or is about to study law can study Corporate Law. To study a three-year or five-year law course, candidates must ensure that they have completed Class 12th from a recognised board and have cleared entrance examinations such as CLAT, AILET etc. Similarly, those who wish to pursue Corporate Law at the postgraduate level can pursue it after completing LLB/integrated LLB from a recognised university. 

Q:   What is a Corporate Law course?

The Corporate Law is a specialized subset of business law. It teaches candidates about the legalities that govern businesses. Basically, it entails the rights of employees, consumers, and stakeholders. Hence, this course covers everything that is required to manage an established business and corporate ethically. 

Q:   When will LSAT India 2026 registrations start?
A: 

LSAT India has been discontinued by LSAC.

LSAC Global will no longer conduct Law School Admission Test India for admissions to its different LLB and LLM courses. Students must go for other entrance exams such as CLAT for admissions to different law colleges and universities of India.

Both the AP LAWCET and CLAT entrance exam are conducted for admission to the Law schools in India, however, the syllabus for these exams are different on many parameters and candidates should strategise differently for both the exams. AP LAWCET exam has sections including Current Affairs, Legal Aptitude, Contract Law, Constitution, etc. and the CLAT entrance exam sections include English Language, Legal Aptitude, Mathematics, etc. AP LAWCET does not have mathematics subjects, AP LAWCET exam focus more on regional knowledge. CLAT generally covers the deeper aspects of the particular subject. 

Q:   What is the admission cycle of IGNOU?

IGNOU admission cycle opens twice in a year i.e. January and July. The registrations for January session usually begins in December and close by March. The July session for ODL/ Online programmes begin in May and continue till July. The mode of application is online for all the courses.
