Mystory@Nageen Naqvi: Why I dropped the idea of preparing for CAT
My journey from school to the graduation was an interesting one. In school, I was good at Economics and wanted to persuade Economics Honours. After clearing the admission test, got admission in Jamia Millia Islamia.
I enjoyed my college days a lot. My friends and I would study and have fun together. My college faculty was very experienced and helpful which made the subjects easy and interesting. Our group would participate in extra-curricular activities too, like Miss Fresher, Miss Farewell, Annual Day etc.

Two years of college flew away too soon. Tension gripped me in the third year, as I wasn’t sure about my next move.
Taking admission in MA in Economics was the most definite step to be on a safer side. But I always wanted to study MBA from some reputed institution. My dream was to crack the CAT exam but I started with MAT just to get a hang of competitive exams. I prepared well for three months and cleared it with good marks. I got admission in AIMA, Delhi. Since I had got admission in a good college, I dropped the idea of preparing for CAT and wasting a year. I completed my management course in two years with good marks.
