Recruiting Companies at IMT Ghaziabad

A total of 64 pre-placement offers were made at IMT Ghaziabad during the placement drive of the year 2022.

Recruitment or placement is the backbone of any professional institution in today’s time. The effective placement activity is considered an effective tool to develop an institute as a brand. Top management institutions like IMT Ghaziabad are very well known for their placement records. In this article let us discuss the companies visiting the IMT campus and the placement statistics. For the 2020- 2022 batch placement, 130 companies visited the campus. 45 new companies visited the campus and offered the package of INR 15.28 lakh per annum. A total of 23% increase has been found in average annual compensation. 

Top Sectors during Placements

Students got diverse profiles in leading organisations across all industries. Offers were given in the field of Analytics, BFSI, Consulting, E-Commerce, FMCG, Pharma and healthcare and IT/ ITES. The highest number of offers were given in the IT sector. The Finance sector had a number of good offers for this batch from prestigious firms like Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, Natwest Group, HSBC and Aditya Birla Capital, Bank of America. 

ITES as shared above was the leading sector for this batch in terms of the number of offers. Companies that visited were Accenture, Cisco, Microsoft, Genpact, Zycus, HCL and Wipro Tech to name a few. If we talk about Consulting it has always been the most demanding sector in almost all the top B-schools. The same is the case with IMT for this batch, with industry leaders like BCG, Deloitte and Infosys Consulting recruiting students from the institute. Industries like FMCG, Healthcare and Pharma were driven by big business tycoons like Marico, Wipro CCL, Zydus Wellness, Indegene, Piramal and others. 

Placements Highlights 

A total of 64 pre-placement offers were made at IMT Ghaziabad during the placement drive of the year 2022. The highest package offered to this batch was INR 27.75 LPA.  Let’s talk about the important IMT Ghaziabad placements. A total of 130 recruiters visited the institute in the year 2022. A total of 517 students got placed in this batch so the placement rate was 100%. The highest package was at par with top-notch B Schools. It was INR 62 LPA and the median package was INR 14 LPA. The average package for the top 10 percentile was INR 24.99 LPA. The average package for the top 25 percentile was INR 20.77 LPA. 

If we compare the salary package for the year 2021 with 2022 then it reflects healthy growth in terms of fetching the highest salary package. In the year 2021, it was INR 29 LPA, whereas, in the year 2022, it is INR 64 LPA.

The average salary pattern at IMT Ghaziabad for the last five years: in 2018 it was INR 11.66 LPA, in 2019 it was INR 11.9 LPA, in the year 2020 it was INR 13.6 LPA and INR 12.42 LPA was the average package for the year 2021. In the year 2022, it was  INR15.28 LPA. 

If we talk about the PGDM program for experienced people, in 2021, 29% of students got a package of more than INR 24 LPA. 30% of students got the package between INR 18 LPA and INR 24 LPA. 41% of students got the package between INR 14 and 18 LPA.
