Students’ Speak: 5 tips to prepare for TANCET 2020

The Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) is conducted by the Anna University every year for students who plan to take admission in MBA, March, MCA, MPlan, MTech, etc., courses in the state’s institutes. So, if you are set to appear for the upcoming exam on February 29, here are certain that will help you:
- With the exam date coming closer, hurry up in your preparation as you don’t have too much time. Only thing is that you have to maintain a proper time balance for the examination because in the last 15-20 days preparations matter more. You have to basically focus on the quantitative aptitude that is of school levels. There are several topics in quantitative aptitude that you need to look out for 15-20 days such as ratios, simple interest, compound interest, numbers and averages, time and work, time and distances. - There is a need to study Class 11 and Class 12 Maths topics such as Progressions, Logarithms, Statistics, You have to revise at a regular interval of time. So that the revision of the whole syllabus can be done in a balanced way.
- Along with these preparations, you should be focused on detail topics of the current affairs. For this, you should read newspapers, some editorials, reading current affairs magazine will be also helpful. Also, revise the concept of logical reasoning.
- Opt for those books which you are already using for the preparations. It’s my personal advice to all of you that you should focus less on those areas, you feel are challenging. It will make you feel nervous. You should go for the test series or mock papers because it will make preparation easier and it will be helpful in clearing the doubts. And make a suitable timetable for these 15- 20 days, at least you could devote 5-7 hours for the preparations.
- It is totally important that you should be aware of the marking schemes, a total number of sections, total marks. TANCET question paper will consist of 100 MCQs for which you will get 1 marks for the correct answer and 1/3rd marks will be deducted for every wrong answers. The candidate will get 120 minutes for the solving of the questions.
