Where can I check my CA result?

Candidates can check their results of CA Foundation, CA Intermediate and CA Final exams on the official websites of ICAI – icaiexam.icai.org, caresults.icai.org and icai.nic.in. To check the result cum scorecard, candidates have to log in to their ICAI account. They can do so by using the login ID and password created at the time of exam form filling. The ICAI shares scorecard download link for the specific course at its website. Candidates have to locate the link and click on it to be able to login in the result dashboard. Candidates can also check the merit list of any course through the same process.

What is the pass percentage of CA exams?

CA exam pass percentage is usually low for all course levels. It doesn’t go over 25 percent in any exam session. The CA Foundation exam has the highest pass percentage because it is easier than rest of the two course level. However, CA Inter and CA Final pass percentage is very low. Will I receive my ICAI CA result by post?

The CA result, scorecard or merit list can be accessed online only. Apart from direct download via login, there is a provision to obtain CA result via email. The provision of obtaining results via email was introduced in 2022. To get result via email, candidates have to submit a request on the ICAI website as per the schedule announced by the exam authorities. These processes have been put in place for the convenience of candidates as a soft copy of the scorecard is saved in the student dashboard and they can download it as soon as it is announced or whenever they need. Online announcement of result is quick and safe.

Is there provision of rechecking or reevaluation in CA course exams?

Yes, the candidates can apply for scorecard verification after the result announcement. The facility is available for all three course levels. The window for rechecking of a particular CA course opens a day after announcement of the result. Candidates can apply for scorecard verification within a month of result announcement along with a demand draft of INR 200 in favour of the Secretary, The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, payable at New Delhi. The fee is non-refundable and the result of rechecking will be final. Students can’t apply for rechecking more than once.

The difficulty level of CA Intermediate exams is high. It is considered to be one of the toughest exams to crack due to the vast syllabus and multiple subjects. The pass percentage of CA Intermediate exam is low and candidates have to make multiple attempts to clear it. CA is a course, one can complete without coaching and guidance. Even though study material, test practices and other support is provided by the ICAI, it is not really possible to study by self. The topics and chapters are vast. They require guidance and practice as well as discipline and productive study hours.

What is question paper observation in CA exams?

Question paper observation is a process through which candidates can raise query with the ICAI examination authorities regarding the question paper for the exam they have appeared for. The process usually starts from the next day of the examination and candidates have to submit their observation via email. No fee is charged for the same. Dates of submission of question paper submission vary for CA Foundation, CA Inter and CA Final exams.
