The ICAI announces the names and scores of AIR 1, 2 and 3 for CA Final, Intermediate and Foundation exams on official website. The CA Inter and Foundation Jan 2026 toppers list has been released. CA Toppers List
ICAI has released the list of CA Inter and CA Foundation Toppers for January 2026 exam today. CA Final toppers for January 2026 exams were announced by ICAI on March 01. CA Final Jan 2026 Toppers are Diksha Goyal with 486 Marks and 81% (AIR 1); Anirudh Garg with 452 Marks and 75.33% (AIR 2); and Rishab Jain and Dhruv Dembla with 451 Marks and 75.17% (AIR 3).
The ICAI releases CA toppers list for CA Intermediate and CA Final courses, session wise. The All India Merit List is made available through login for both courses, as and when the respective results are released. The CA result and toppers list can be checked at the ICAI CA exam website, icai.nic.in website. Candidates can check their status via login. To download ICAI CA Intermediate result, candidates have to log in to their ICAI accounts with registration ID and date of birth. CA Final Jan 2026 Toppers
Commonly asked questions
Candidates have to carry a printout of CA Foundation admit card and a valid photo ID. They can carry any of the following:
· Aadhaar card
· PAN card
· Voter ID card
· Passport
· Driving License
CA candidates need to carry two copies of CA admit card (A4 size paper/colour printout), one photo ID (original), blue or black ballpoint pen and calculator to the examination centre. Candidates can carry Aadhaar card, PAN card, Voter ID card, passport or driving license as the mandatory document for identification. They are also required to carry passport size photos to affix on the CA admit card. Entry without these documents will not be allowed.
Digital copy of the admit card or photo ID will not be accepted as valid at the examination centres, thus candidates must take print outs of their admit card as soon as they download it.
As per the data released by the ICAI, the overall CA Foundation pass percentage of December 2023 exam was 29.99%. The passing percentage of male candidates was marginally higher than female candidates. Check the table below for category-wise CA Foundation December 2023 pass percentage:

Yes, the candidates can apply for scorecard verification after the result announcement. The facility is available for all three course levels. The window for rechecking of a particular CA course opens a day after announcement of the result. Candidates can apply for scorecard verification within a month of result announcement along with a demand draft of INR 200 in favour of the Secretary, The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, payable at New Delhi. The fee is non-refundable and the result of rechecking will be final. Students can’t apply for rechecking more than once.
The time duration of CA exams varies for each paper. Some CA exam papers are of two hours duration whereas some are of three hours duration. The ICAI CA exams are conducted from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm. The exam timings of every paper will be mentioned in the date sheet and the CA admit card of each candidate. Given below is the table indicating CA Foundation, Intermediate and Final exam timings:

Yes, candidates will get up to 15 minutes of late entry to CA Foundation Paper 1, 2, 3, and 4. However, students are advised to reach the exam centre early to avoid getting late.

No, ICAI will not send physical admit card to any candidate for CA Foundation exam. Eligible candidates will have to download and take a print out of their admit card on their own.

Candidates applying to appear for CA Foundation exam at Indian centres will have to pay INR 1500 as registration fee. The late fee to be paid for Indian centres is INR 600.

There are four papers in CA Foundation exam. According to exam pattern, Paper 1 & 2 have subjective type questions, and Paper 3 & 4 have objective type questions. ICAI will only give 15 minutes advance reading time for Paper 1 and Paper 2.

There are two types of questions asked in CA Foundation exam. Paper 1 and Paper 2 have subjective type questions. Paper 3 and Paper 4 have objective type questions.
There is negative marking of 0.25 for every incorrect answer in Paper 3 and Paper 4 only.

To clear CA Foundation exam, a candidate must score at least 40% in each of the four papers and overall 50% in aggregate in all papers. If a candidate fails to do so, he/she will have to retake the exam.
