Symbiosis SET exam 2025 (Test 01) is scheduled to be conducted tomorrow, i.e. May 5, 2025. The exam will be held in the computer-based test mode in about 80 test cities across the country. Preparing for the exam day is as important as preparing for the exam. Shiksha has shared the SET test day guide to help the candidates prepare well for the SET exam day. 

With only a few days left for the SET exam, students should focus on the final phase of revisions and last-minute SET exam preparation. Before the candidates appear for the SET 2025 exam, they need to understand the rules and regulations given by the exam authorities to abide by on the exam day. Read the article below to know the SET test day guidelines 2025.

SET Exam Day Guidelines: Admit Card Instructions

Check out the important instructions for SET admit card 2025 on the exam day. 

  • Candidates should print their SET admit card as soon as they are released. 
  • Candidates should check the information printed on the admit card, such as name of the candidate, admission criteria, SET exam ID, Test date and session timing, test City and centre address, Symbiosis Entrance Test Seat Number 
  • Candidates should take a coloured printout of the SET admit card on an A4-sized sheet via a laser printer. Black and white copies of the SET admit card will not be accepted. 
  • The admit card will be legible only when the candidate's photograph is clearly visible.
  • Candidates must affix a recent coloured passport-size photograph (not older than 3 months) on the SET hall ticket. 
  • Candidates should submit the admit card for verification at the time of the SET test. 
  • Candidates should carry at least one (original) and valid Government-issued photo identification card (such as a Driving License, Passport, PAN Card, Voter ID, College Id, or Aadhaar Card).  The aspirant's photograph and signature images should be legibly
    printed and visible on the photo ID card and should match the name on the SET admit card 2025. 
  • The SET admit card will be valid only for the mentioned date and time of the session. If the student has applied for two sessions, they need to individually download and print the two admit cards. 

SET Test Day Guidelines

Students must adhere to the SET test day instructions for a smooth exam day experience. Read below the important SET exam day checklist:

  • Candidates must reach the exam centre by 7:30 AM. It is important to reach the exam centre on the reporting time to get enough time to complete the frisking formalities. Candidates will not be allowed to enter the exam centre beyond 8:30 AM under any circumstances. 
  • Candidates should not carry any electronic devices such as mobile phones, calculators, watches, smart watches, etc. 
  • Candidates should note that there is no facility at the exam centre for the safekeeping of personal belongings. Students can only carry the admit card, photo ID proof and a ball pen the exam hall. 
  • Rough sheet(s) will be provided to the candidate for rough work, which will have to be returned after the test. The candidate should write his/her name and SET Entrance Test Seat Number on each rough sheet.
  • The SET exam centre address will be printed on the SET hall ticket, and the candidates are advised to locate their test centre and its accessibility at least a day before the test so that they can reach the centre on time on the day of the test. 

SET Test Day Sign-In Procedure

Mentioned below are the SET test day sign in procedures:

  • Students should ensure that they carry the following:

1) A coloured copy of the SET test 01 Admit Card with a recent passport-size coloured photo pasted in the space provided.

2) A valid government-issued Photo ID Proof in its original.

3) Black / Blue simple ball pen

  • Candidates will not be permitted to take the test if original and valid photo identification and the SET 2025 admit card are not presented. If the candidate's name has been changed due to events such as marriage, they must show the documents such as Marriage Certificate, Divorce Decree, Legal Name Change, etc. and submit a notarised photocopy when they appear for the test or interview and at the time of joining a programme.
  • At the gates of the SET 2025 test centre, a SET 2025 volunteer will check the candidate's photo identification and admit card to ensure that he/she has arrived at the allocated test centre. Beyond this point, friends and relatives who are accompanying the candidate will not be allowed inside. Candidates will be asked to undergo frisking at the entry point by security personnel with Handheld Metal Detectors (HHMD).
  • Candidates would register themselves at the lab, and a system number will be assigned. Candidates should occupy the seat as per the number provided. 
  • Candidates will not be allowed to leave the exam hall once they have signed and started the exam. They can leave the centre once the exam is over. 
  • For any issues during the test, candidates can raise their hands to notify the invigilator. They should stay seated and explain the issue to the invigilator who approaches them. Under no circumstances should they move from their seat until submission of the test or instructed by the invigilator. 
Q:   When is the Symbiosis entrance exam for BBA?
A:

The Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET) is a national-level entrance test conducted for admission to various undergraduate courses provided by Symbiosis International (Deemed University). Usually, the SET exam is conducted in the first or second week of May every year. The SET exam date varies each year and is released along with the complete SET exam schedule on the official website. The SET exam is usually conducted only once a year. The SET admission cycle generally concludes in a month or two.

Q:   Will the SET BBA exam be conducted in double shifts?
A:

No, the SET exam will be conducted in a single shift. SET exam is usually conducted in a single shift for one hour, i. e. from 9 AM to 10 AM. The exam was, however, is conducted on two days. 

However, in 2020, the SET exam was conducted in the remote-proctored mode in order to follow the social distancing guidelines for COVID-19, and the students had the option to choose the exam slot according to their preference and convenience. SET exam pattern was also changed after 2020. 

Q:   What is the reporting time for SET exam? Can I leave the exam center after completing exam early?
A:

Candidates must report to the SET exam centre at least an hour before the commencement of the exam. The SET exam will take place at 9 AM at various test centres, hence, candidates must reach the exam centre the latest by 07:30 AM. Candidates will not be allowed to leave the exam centre before 10:00 AM (morning session). Also, they can not re-enter the exam centre once they have submitted the exam.
