IPMAT exam 2026 will likely be conducted on May 4, 2026. According to the experts, an ideal time to begin IPMAT preparation is at least six months before the exam. Shiksha conducted a poll on the IPMAT study material that students find the most useful for their IPM preparation for the upcoming exam. The poll revealed insights not only into the current trends but also guidance on which is the best IPMAT study material for success in the exam. Read the article below to know more.

  • 29% of respondents said that solving previous years’ IPMAT question papers and sample papers is the best study material for IPMAT prep.
  • 25% said they are using IPMAT EBooks for exam preparation.
  • 25% students also said that online IPMAT mock tests are a good source of IPMAT exam preparation.
  • Only 21% of students said they are relying on video lectures of the IPM 2026 preparation. It is clearly a less popular option for the students.

These trends hence show that students are adopting a balanced approach to IPMAT Indore exam preparation, by blending traditional study materials such as question papers and sample papers with modern tools such as e-books and online mock tests.

In another survey, where we asked the students when they would start preparing for the IPMAT Indore exam, and 50% of students said that they would begin their preparation after Class 12 boards, which shows that students are focused on their current academic needs. However, 31% of students also said that they have already started their IPMAT 2026 preparation. This can help the students stay ahead and give them ample time for practice and revision.

These insights indicate the need to have a good and detailed IPMAT preparation plan which balances IPMAT preparation along with Class 12 boards. By focusing on important topics of the IPMAT syllabus 2026 and preparation material, students can know how to balance their IPMAT preparation.
