The Central Board of Secondary Education implements 20 percent objective questions for the class 10 and 12 board examinations, for the 2020-21 academic session.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced that for the class 10 and 12 board examinations, for the 2020-21 academic session, 20 percent of the exam paper will contain objective questions.
As per the reports, the students appearing for the CBSE class 10 and CBSE class 12 examinations next year will have to answer 20 percent objective questions in the board examinations instead of the 10 percent of objective questions which was the earlier exam pattern.
The Board has reportedly sent the order to all the schools affiliated with it.
However, as per the order, the new rule will not be applicable for the proposed examinations for the 29 subjects of class 10 and 12 students, which were postponed due to coronavirus outbreak.
Along with the 20 percent objective questions, the board has also changed the chapters of the different subjects. As per the order, the Solid State Chapter in Chemistry for the Secondary level 15 group topics of P Block has been removed from the 11 and 12 classes.
At the secondary level, the Board has also added a new option for Applied Mathematics to the syllabus of Mathematics. The topic has been implemented for the 2020-21 academic session. The students who have studied Basic Mathematics in class 9 can opt for Applied Mathematics in class 11.
It must be noted that the new examination pattern with 20 percent objective questions will be for the 2020-21 board examinations only.
