Delhi government has unveiled its plans to upgrade 75 CM SHRI schools with smart boards, artificial intelligence enabled learning, projectors and other advanced facilities.
The idea is to develop schools in line with National Education Policy 2020 and National Curriculum Framework for School Education 2023. The school will primarily focus on competency driven and skill based education to prepare students for the upcoming job market.
These upgraded CM SHRI schools will promote futuristic learning through experiential teaching methods, digital integration and personalized learning hubs. To reduce exam stress, a flexible assessment system will be introduced. The L-G had last year notified these schools establishment as specified category institutes under the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act 2009.

In these SHRI schools, half of the seats will be reserved from government and government-aided schools such as Kendriya Vidyalayas and Navodaya Vidyalayas those run by Directorate of Education, MCD, and NDMC.
